Actually, the multiverse model of Max Tegmark and Brian Greene is that it is theoretically possible that every possible outcome leads to its own reality.

For those who are interested, the levels of multiverse are:

1. Our universe is extended to other copies with different Hubble Volumes.  A quick look-up says this comes from the assumption that the universe is uniform and isotropic in its properties.  In this case, imagine a large  volume with little bubble universes inside of it.

2. Other universes exist with different physical constants (speed of light, Maxwell-Boltzman constant, the universal gravitational constant, etc.).  So an alternate reality has light travelling faster and you weigh less with the same mass.

3. The many-worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics.  This takes the idea of randomness at the quantum level and says that the different universes above arise from the different variations of what this randomness does.  So in all realities, No Goal happens, but in some, Jay McKee never gets the staph infection and the Sabres win the Cup in 2006.

4. What @pi2000 cited is called "the ultimate ensemble."  We then can go into the question of whether there are countably infinite or uncountably infinite universes.  (IMHO, if we have that every choice leads to a new reality, then the number has to be uncountably infinite by a Cantor diagonalisation argument.)

You probably know already, but Jorge Luis Borges has some interesting stories like The Garden of Forked Paths that entertain some of these ideas. I also recommend John Crowley's Great Work of Time which is included in his volume Novelty.

How much does he get paid for the segment on WGR?  Anyone with insight?  Just want to know what level of robbery we are talking about.  Petty larceny, aggravated, or highway.  Outside of giving the status on trades, contract terms, or UFA signings 30 minutes before they are released to the news organizations does he offer any value?

Don't bet the house in Reinhart getting moved just yet. My hunch is he'll start the season with the Sabres. Jack is gone. Risto? Likely gone but we thought that before.

I believe they would love to sign Sam and make him their number one center for a couple years. Not sure he agrees.

Sam saw first hand the growth of the young guys and Don Granato’s impact. If he thinks that adding goaltending plus a good return for Jack would put them in the playoff mix he may sign.

I would like to see Sam stay and be the veteran presence, if he wants to remain a Sabre.

Probably, but that's what everybody said about the New York Islanders when they lost Tavares for nothing. We're getting something back. A lot of somethings.

They hired Barry Trotz and Lou, we hired Kevyn Adams and are going to hire an entry level guy as coach.

The Islanders had Lou Lamoriello and and Barry Trotz to help them through the loss of Taveres.  The Sabres have Adams and hopes and prayers.

Not to be too hard on Adams, but absolutely nothing this guy has done has worked.  His trades, FA signings, player development, choices on goaltending, support of Kreuger, draft picks, all of it has been at best suspect, and at worst terrible.

And now Dreger reports that the Eichel trade is a forgone conclusion.  If that's true, it means that Adams is no longer waiting for an offer that can't be refused, he's now going to take what he can get, amid the reports of a shrinking number of potential trading partners.

This is the same path that Botterill took in trading O'Reilly, and the same path that Adams took trading Hall.

I'm a Sabres fan through and through, and will stick with this team win or lose.  But at some point, the wishful thinking and prospect porn needs to take a break, and someone has to figure out how the Sabres are going to replace 130+ points in the lineup if Eichel and Reinhart are traded.

That's the definition of dark times, because if they don't start winning in the next couple of seasons (which requires winning the Eichel and Reinhart trades), Dahlin, Mittlestadt and Cozens will be the next of the 'rotten' core who need to be traded, because they are to accustomed to the 'culture of losing.' 

Of course, Adams will be long gone by then, replaced by the next inexperienced clown hired by Terry.

And the cycle continues.  Dark times indeed.

He probably doesn't get paid for his regular weekly segment. What he is doing by going on the show is increasing his exposure in order to  build up his twitter and other platform following. It's what you have to do in this new world of communication and continue to thrive, if not survive, in this connected world. It's got to be exhausting.
