Toronto about to beat Detroit in a very un-tank move.

As low as they are in the standings, you can tell they're coached by Babcock

Kadri ran over Datsyuk in a weird play that ended up with Kadri landing on Datsyuks head. Datsyuk left for the locker room but came back. Couldn't tell if it was an accident or not, but Datsyuk was pissed when he got up, and Kadri is a pos...

It sounds like

- Goalie equipment likely to be made smaller, more fitting to the goalie's body. Could be implemented by the World Cup, or the start of next season

- Coach's challenge to be reviewed, but only insofar as the actual process (i.e. ref's on ice vs a war room)

- The Oiler's may single-handedly be responsible for the lottery having a limit set on how many times you can win it in a given time period

Read a Puck Daddy article which brought up a hilarious point on this: some GMs have suggested guaranteeing last place the 1st pick in a revamp of the lottery including the "Oilers rule". So on the one hand everyone is decrying the ethics of tanking, and GMs changed the lottery to discourage tanking...and merely 1 year later at least some are pushing for a change that would greatly incentivize...tanking! Oh NHL, never change.

They could do all sorts of stuff to massage the odds.   Maybe if you win the 1st overall pick, the next year your odds drop by 50% of whatever your odds would've been.    It's not rocket science.

Or you just let the Oilers keep winning and rename them the Edmonton Oners

A lottery change would be years too late. When is a team going to do what Edmonton has done again?

You never know, the Sabres may end up picking #2 for four years in a row or something awful. It's not like Buffalo doesn't have a history of being #2 for long stretches.
