Even though it doesn't have the full substance of playing 5-on-5, I think it's a more legitimately hockey-like way to end a game than a shootout. Make players play, make coaches coach. And it's really fun to watch. Get the six best guys out there and let 'em rip up and down the ice. You couldn't play that game with a two-line-pass rule. They don't retire any #'s. The players go in the rafters rather than the just the #. Give it time & 27, 1, & 13 will be back in circulation too.
