Got my first animation freelance gig! Just a little thing, but I'm excited. It involves jets and space and cool stuff I love with a client I've worked with quite a bit.

No idea why I posted that .gif -- but it popped when I searched for "YASS!".

Most years I grow hot peppers and tomatoes, with a couple guest veggies thrown in.  Last years hot weather brought me a huge crop of peppers that I'm not half way through, so I'm not growing hot peppers this year.  And our raised garden bed got creamed in the wind storm when 5 sections of fence (posts and all) came crashing down on it.  The garden bed needs repair, as does the fence.  The fence is technically my neighbors.  I'm not going to plant the raised garden this year because when neighbor does get that fence fixed anything I plant in it will get trampled.  So, it's pots and limited space this year.

I did start 5 Hubbard squash plants.  Germinated the seeds 10 days ago and the tap roots are already 5" long.  I'm afraid these are going to outgrow my ability to keep them indoors before planting season.  It's no where near ideal, but I think they'll have to go in pots this year with the raised garden out of commission for now.  It'll be interesting to see how plants that produce 10lb fruit do in pots.....

Maybe I should re-name the Adventures in Heat thread to make it a garden thread.,  It was going that way anyway.....

I support a garden thread.

Planted gladiolus and lilys today. Along with some other bright flowery thing.

I'm beginning to think that one of these years I'm going to do a vegetable garden. Nothing crazy, just long hots, cucumbers, zucchini, eggplant, tomatoes and bell peppers. Maybe beans too.

Woke up this morning and decided it was time to ring spring in. Went to the smoke shop and grabbed some pipe tobacco and have indulged several times today. Ahhh I missed this.

I don't know why, but knowing what you guys look like makes it even harder to picture you taking a lazy spring Sunday gardening. It's probably just because most of our time was spent eating/boozing/yelling at Leafs fans.

Here's the deal. My wife buys the flowers, then she tells me where I have to dig. I take care of the lawn and the shrubs. It gives me an excuse to be shirtless in my yard with a beer. Not that I need an excuse. And she likes it when I get dirt on me, for some reason.

Each year I get a container garden going on the balcony. Last year I must've done something right, because everything grew to be MASSIVE. The sh!t part is I can't take things in when winter comes and have to watch them die, except for the succulents/cacti that are now ginormous and 7-8 years old.

Someday I'll have a house and it'll be like a goddamn beautiful jungle. I've already got plans to force d4rk to help me build a greenhouse in that distant future.

Once we move to Buffalo, I'm honestly hoping I can snag a part time jorb at a garden nursery or something. I like carrying heavy things around and being covered in dirt.  Our balcony at the new apartment is going to be half the size of the one I have now and it makes me sad :(

There's nothing that says I can't garden while angry and drunk.

This sounds like a bad plot to a 80's era porno. Next thing you know the plumber rings the doorbell and says he has to help "lay some pipe" or somesuch.
