It probably depends on how much of a hard ass he is with the negotiations. Any games with the Sabres this year will burn a year of his ELC, but isn't that pretty much standard these days for college players? Lord knows, we need someone who can put the puck in the net. It appears that he's looking at how closely he can get to having used all 479B+ combinations that are available to him; though being very careful to avoid ever going w/ Kane - O'Reilly - Reinhart Girgensons - Eichel - Moulson McGinn - Larsson - Gionta all together for any game. He's not signed to a Sabres contract. He's got a contract with the Amerks. They'd have to sign him first. I have no idea if they are at their limit of 50 contracts already.
