Who’s in net tonight? Comrie?

Granato didn't say last night.  Considering he was playing well in the earlier game before going out injured and he has a history with them (and Granato loves to let guys play against their old teams) that is a good assumption.

Victor Olofsson is heating up and it’s because he’s seemed to improve his overall game lately. It’s translated into two goals and four assists for six points in five games.

Peyton Krebs only has one point all season, but he was easily Buffalo’s best player on Friday. He was flying and he along with Kyle Okposo and Zemgus Girgensons were hard on pucks, creating offense and spending most of their night in the offensive zone.

Jordan Greenway missed the game due to injury and Girgensons left the game with an injury and never returned.

Goaltending has been a huge issue for Lindy Ruff’s crew this year. Vitek Vanecek will likely be between the pipes. He’s 7-5-0 with a 3.43 goals against and .886 save percentage. New Jersey is 29th in the league in goals against.

One thing the Sabres don’t want to do is take penalties because the Devils have the top power play in the league at 36.5%.

I hope their youth serves them well for this back to back game. Everyone on D other than Dahlin should be able to go harder.

Rosen played last night but the adrenaline should be flowing.

Cozens will be incrementally better and Krebs’ hustle will translate to a point.

I still don’t like VO but if he can produce while others aren’t, he can stay, for a bit longer. I definitely don’t see a path for him to get an extension so we’ll see where things stand at the deadline.

Let’s go Buffalo!

I've been drinking since 9am🍻😳🤣, it's friendsgiving and my Bday, so this will be on in the background as I will have a  bunch of people over, got a turkey in the oven, and I brined one that's in the smoker. Anyone near Ellicottville or Allegany, stop up 😉

Happy Birthday! Enjoy.

Krebs wasn’t even the best player on his line.  Kyle had a good game (finally) followed by Gus and then Peyton. As evidenced by his time with players other than Z and KO (Natural Stat Trick) below.  And when you look at the replay of Kyle’s goal, Krebs stick is not even on the ice when the puck is deflected by Karlsson. Meaning he didn’t even have the awareness to get in a position to attempt a high danger chance.
Tuch was by far the best player, followed by Skinner and then EJ.  Honorable mentions to UPL, Cozens and Kyle.
