I like this.

Mule will not produce big numbers but he will be a key partner for Dahlin or Power. He sounds like a key guy in the room and has been a leader on USA and NCAA teams. He’s another guy that may wear a letter in a few years.

He will turn out comparable to Mike Ramsey.

This deal is perfect.

It will be a bargain in about 2 or 3 years.

This guy will be the defensive anchor on a very good Sabre team.  Likely top pairing with Dahlin or maybe 2nd pairing with Power as the years go by and other players develop.

I think Cozens will sign a very similar contract to this one.  Maybe as high as 7 and $35M, but more likely 7 at $4.75M AAV.

The Sabres are doing what the Atlanta Braves are doing and have been doing; locking up key players when they are young to insure continuity and at least for the Braves, the winning culture.  

This is a smart practice if the team becomes a winner.

I have the same reaction that I had with the Thompson contract:  Adams can't hit home runs if he doesn't swing for the fences.  Let's just hope he's not swinging at a nasty curve here; Thompson had a larger body of work to evaluate.

I funking love this deal and love the team's having identified samuelsson as part of the team's core. i love that kid's game. i'm confident that he already is and long will be a solid part of a good nhl team's d-corps.
