Had a buddy on my beer league team ask who I thought the captain was going to be. I said no one. he said really? Not Pominville? I said " no!!! its not his team!!" It's jack's team. Captain, or a whole lot of A's and no C

Definitely not Pommers. I'd like to know now, but I think it's basically ROR or Eichel.

The fact that this is still an issue they're discussing is not a good sign.   You'd hope somebody like ROR or Eichel would've taken the reigns over the past month and half.     This reflects poorly on both players and their ability (or lack thereof) to lead.

I tend to agree

Do you mean they should've taken over the reigns of the sewing machine and put the C on themselves?

Reading what Housley had to say on the subject today (no plans to permanently sew a letter onto anybody's sweater "in the immediate future") I wonder if he might not keep rotating the "A" into the season in order to see if anyone steps up and grabs the "C". If nobody does it, oh well. Three rotating "A's" wouldn't be any dumber than Lindy's Oprah Winfrey inspired passing the "C" around.

You get a C, and you get a C....!!!!! And so on.

Still cringe @  "..stronger handshake Thomas".

Agree w/ you pi2000.  Later this week get ready for "everyone in this room is a leader" blah blah blah.

I'm just going to keep posting funny things Eichel does until they make him captain:

https://twitter.com/Matt_Bove/status/915235712827559936

"I used to play for the Montreal Canadiens and we're playing them on Thursday!"

Can we stay on topic please!

This obviously belongs in the "Sabres Jack Eichel making fun of former Montreal Canadien Nathan Beaulieu during a post-practice impromptu media scrum 2 days before the season-opening game against Nathan Beaulieu's former team, the Montreal Canadiens" thread.

Anywho, yeah that's not very captain like from Jack... he's basically a clown, and I think that's part of the reason he's not Captain yet is because he's such a goof ball nobody can take him seriously enough.    It's good to have guys like in the locker room to keep everybody loose, it's just a strange personality to have for the franchise player...  which personally I like because he's comfortable just being himself, and that's what makes him unique.

This is a very interesting point.
