To follow up on X's post on the Kassian incident ...

N-D-G is a great part of Montreal.

Ooooffff ... two women in the car ... the 20 year old driver may have been drinking ... and an 18 year old ... Kass seems to be getting familiar with his new surroundings ... maybe he better not get to used to them.

He got a designated driver.  Good for him.  (ROR should have done the same.)

Apologies if posted somewhere already (I didn't see it) , but the Caps just cut Derek Roy.

Surprising but not surprising.  Maybe Buffalo can pick him up (and give him a job coaching hockey camps for pee wees at Harbor Center).  Still... 524 points in 738 games- .71 PPG is nothing to sneeze at.  If this is the end, congrats on a good career, Derek.

http://www.thehockeynews.com/blog/how-did-daniel-sprong-go-straight-to-the-nhl-from-the-second-round-of-the-draft/#more-47964

Sprong is a guy i wanted murray to gamble on with our 31st pick.   Seems like he'll get a chance to play in the penguins top 6 wich is impressive for #46 pick.

better to let someone else do your drunk driving for you. :)

My older brother did that to me on my first legal New Years Eve.  We went to Kissing Bridge and met up with some snow bunnies down there.  At the end of the night though, he made me drive us home (in his car.... never mentioned to me it was a possibility).  Pretty heavy snow that night too.  I made it without incident but it did teach me to make sure I could take care of myself and to not get too blitzed.
