Yes please. If Habs are #2 then they aren’t expecting Price back. Portzline is plugged in with the Jackets.

Can someone with an Athletic subscription tell us if Portzline mentions Buffalo or if it is just a guess from the twitter guy.

He mentions all 3 teams as likely suitors based on talking to 3 NHL GMs, then goes on to debunk ARI because they're tanking, and BUF because they "have their golie of the future in UPL who is nearly NHL ready".  🙄

“The market was soft on Korpisalo and all goalies trades last summer because the free-agent market was flooded with players. But now, two-plus weeks into the season, some best-laid plans have fizzled and other situations have changed.

We poked around with three NHL front-office types. Arizona, Buffalo and Montreal were seen as the most likely destinations for Korpisalo, who has one year remaining on his contract before he becomes an unrestricted free agent.”

“Arizona: The Coyotes have stumbled out of the gate (0-7-1) and have the worst save percentage (.862) in the league. At some point, they’re going to need a goaltender for the future, but Arizona may also be in full-on tank mode this season. The fix can wait.

Buffalo: It’s early, but the Sabres are off to a surprising start (5-1-1) and goaltending (a .942 save percentage) has been a big part of it. Craig Anderson and Dustin Tokarskiaren’t the long-term answers. But Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, a second-round pick in 2017, isn’t far from being NHL-ready.

Montreal: The Canadiens had a closed-door meeting after losing in Los Angeles on Saturday, falling to 2-7-0 on the season. Never a good sign. Goaltender Carey Price’s future with the club was already murky, and now he’s in the NHL player assistance program. Jake Allen (.901) is off to a rough start.”

Someones gonna have a bad time at the union office and Donny's making sure it ain't him.

I think that Kyle Beach's initial complaint was with the previous regime at the NHLPA.

It's really difficult to say.  Fehr was appointed executive director in De member 2010, but he was involved before that.  And we don't know when Beach approached the union--or even whether he was a member of it.

Tank 2nd lieutenant

absolutely no doubt they are tanking big time then will add Mathews in a few years (please don;t tell me NHL can;t see that). We should easily finish ahead of them but should be close for 2nd overall pick between us, Wings Habs (although they will probably get going again at some point) and Seattle. We should get another good piece at 2nd 3rd or 4th overall next year

You should go pick out lottery numbers.
