At the same time, look at what Pittsburgh did to Justin Schultz and Trevor Daley, who had looked beyond terrible before being traded last season. Defensemen need to play to their strengths. A team that's willing to take Kulikov and put him in a place he can succeed will like what they get, IMO. We never got to see it, and never will. Valid concern, though 'blaming it all on Dan' is a little heavy - there are excellent coaches with good systems that clash with player skill sets, resulting in the player not working out under that coach. Going through this disappointing season and not making any moves to even try to turn things around is one thing, but having that extend through the trade deadline would be unbelievably incompetent.
