  1. I don't know SDS, I'm listening to what is being said from those within the organization. I'm not saying my feels are completely correct, but oof man, the being pushed and practice atmosphere comments, ya, I'm not thrilled about that. You are of course correct, hindsight is 20/20. But man, 13 seasons now, players comments like these, where was the urgency from them on the ice? Because they to hold accountability in the outcome. The coach, coaching staff, if it wasn't good enough early on and the season was slipping in to yet another "let's play catch up" mode, which, as we all witnessed and knew, happening in real time, where was the guidance from that coach and coaching staff? Where were the adjustments before it came to that, yet again? Like I said, it gets under my skin a bit given the full context of the organizations past seasonal patterns. Meh, it is reactionary of course, but I no likey the atmosphere portrayed by some of the comments is all.
  2. I'm questioning heavily Adams decision to "see how it plays out" this season. Clearly change was needed behind the bench, as many of us here on Sabrespace were acutely aware of. Hell, even patient, smart-ass me started a thread to can Granato. As more and more comments from people within the organization are made publicly, such as Adams "not good enough" and some of the players "we need to be pushed" or "practise was a joke", one thing is becoming abundantly clear, the commitment to winning was not given serious consideration, imho. We are through the looking glass here people. For myself, I am actually a bit pissed these issues are coming to light. My love for the Sabres, like so many, is life long. To hear these sentiments spoken from inside, ya, I'm f'n pissed it was allowed to fester like this.
  3. Ya, outside of my 2mg a day of my blood pressure meds (I'm anti-pharma to a point, but also realize my weight put me on these), I don't dabble. A beer or bourbon every great once in awhile. Truth be told Aud, I keep myself busy. Hell, I'm still climbing machinery at work with fairly nimble agility still. But the weight, food is 1 of my 2 weak spots, love me some good, rich food.
  4. 53 yrs old, still a smoker (i know, no more excuses. As i sit here typing this smoking a cig), I currently weigh 233lbs, I was down to 226lbs in early Jan. (FU La Nova, you tried to take me out), it's all waste and tits as my toothpick legs literally are screaming at me to stop adding size to the roster. I weighed 196lbs in 2011, No playoff weight loss in 13 weight loss seasons. My spare tire looks like I'm a 30 pack of heavy lager a weekend, yet I i may have a beet or bourbon once every 2 months. This is it, I'm committing to long term change. So the Sabres better get their ***** together or I'll be kicking their *****, in 2 to 3 years.
  5. That depends.......... No, I mean literally, if he's not wearing depends and his GM balls dropped, things could get really messy.
  6. Great, so our GM has Dissociative identity disorder. He/You should feel trauma, after that train wreck of a season.
  7. Ummm.....I beg to differ. We all know he's going to the "Coaches Store". So, he's going somewhere.
  8. Ok, which one of you is Adams Super Secret Sabrespace Squril account? Fess up, because he's parroting what's been said in this arena for years now. So, Fess up Kyven, which acct is you? We have......"suggestions".... LG, your up first in line.
  9. The Super Secret Squrril bailed on Harrington for Hoppe?
  10. It's bot the fans convincing him, it will be Adams job to convince him. Weren't they team mates?
  11. I'm not sold on Ruff as the answer, but we need a coach that wears wadders for boots. These players need more than a swift kick in the keester, they need a daily enema at practice.
  12. There is only 1 sure fire way to credibly substantiate LG's stats, dudacek's eyes, Thorny's gut feeling and GA's skepticism circa 1950's. Poll the players themselves. Ranch or Blue Cheese.....
  13. I don't know if it failed completely. There are some good components he added, not superstar, but good, at least as of now. The lack of superstar talent would need to be offset with 4 lines of really good players, and not just good with skill, but chemistry, firing on all cylinders of gameplay. That's not happening as of now, here in Buffalo. Imho.
  14. I'll wait to hear what they have to say before melting down. Besides, I have to refill my blood pressure meds before then.
  15. Ok, I'll play. Can you definitively show where the defense hasn't improved. Shots against, defensive zone possession time, defensive zone takeaways/giveaways, shot blocking, shot danger zone increase/decrease didn't prove the goaltending improved, it proved the defense did. Shrugs
  16. As last season was coming to a close, many would have said the goaltending and defense were the weak link. Given the scoring those that thought that way were correct. But now the defense and goaltending have improved, the forwards failed to achieve consistency in scoring. So, what is the problem? Well, based on opinion only mind you, the defense and goaltending are actually at a point where the team can win many games. The rest of the league has figured out the Sabres offense, especially the power play. Our players aren't space creators in the offensive zone, they aren't creative, period. The league has shut down the Sabres through various ways, all similar however. Stop them at the offensive zone blue line, remove their one shot wonders Tage and VO, and the Sabres become primarily a parameter team. Just my view of things is all. And if major changes aren't made in coaxhing, and the forward ranks, I don't see the Sabres making the playoffs next season as well.
  17. Looks nice Doo. Unfortunately, my yard is currently flooded from the rains 😞 Brand new, still on the metal crate frame it was shipped in, Ryobi dual 80v electric 0 turn sitting in the garage, as I watch the grass clumps grow a bit out of control due to all of the water 😠
  18. Cozens is a very big concern given the contract Adams gave him. 7 mil aav for an average 3rd liner, yikes.
  19. Spent 2 years in Provo/Orem for work, it's actually a bueatiful area.
