Well, if the Kings want Kane, and they just brought in Bishop, I think a deal could be had here. Buffalo sends kane to the kings and in return we can take that other goalie of theres, whats his name, Quick? off of their hands..... Maybe I'm being unduly pessimistic, but I don't expect the gape between Kane's perceived value to the Sabres and his actual trade value to narrow much. I haven't read the actual CBA but from the articles I've read discussing it you have until August 15th the year after he graduates from college. So I'm almost positive he would still be an RFA this summer. At this point he's a pretty high end prospect (our best goalie prospect?) and therefore I would have thought we would have heard more last summer since he wasn't signed.
