There can't be any long term benefits from the locker room to the weight room to bringing quality hockey people onboard and flexibility with contracts. Relax. I figured I'd get this response. Ok. How long do I wait? I am optimistic with todays events but excuse me if I don't start jumping up and down. Not saying I expect immediate benefits but I certainly didn't expect to be the worst team in the NHL. There is one in every crowd. The one that insists on tossing a big turd into the punch bowl. As other's have noted, this new HOCKEY leadership group, on paper, looks like it can become the best in the league. Pegula is certainly making up for the years he kept Regier on...anyone doubt the guy is a fan? These kind of FO moves are the sort that fans throw out on message boards as fantasy moves. Now that the old regime is gone, and more and more of the old core is gone, the mentality of this team can finally change, the effort can coached back into it, and we should be at rock bottom as of yesterday (today is the slow start to climb up). Sorry he doesn't lace them up and score or prevent goals to result in an immediate change in the W/L record but if you honestly think things aren't trending up since he took over then frankly your opinion means nothing to me. I also like the fact that he seems like a no nonsense guy who will not put up with the BS from the Buffalo News guys. He has been groomed for this day his entire life. As an aside, except for Paul Hamilton, Tim Graham, and John W, most of the guys who cover the Bills and Sabres are horrible. To think how far the quality of the Buffalo News has gone down since guys like Jim Kelley and Vic Carucci. Bucky, Sully, and Bucky/Sully protégé Harrington are horrible. I also absolutely love the Craig Patrick hire. Great addition to the Sabres. Miracle in Buffalo. I agree, except I think Tim Graham is also terrible. I would have to manufacture something to complain about in regrds to our new FO additions.
