last year we finished strong, giving us hope for this year. This year they just took a giant leap backwards. Last year I said we were trending in the right direction but if we don't make the playoffs in 2024 then the ax will be sharpened. This team needs a new coach, Granato has no answers, and his team always seems to have players out of position. I had hoped to see another leg up in the team but I pretty much gave up on the team in November and even if we finish strong this year Granato has to go.

I just call him Oompa Loompa

to early to roast Granato but if we are not in the playoffs this year then the fires will be stoked more and more as the season rolls on. I've been losing faith more in McD every year since the 13 seconds debacle, equally losing faith in Beane as well as he has had to rely too much on FA to bring in players and his drafting hasn't been good enough

That's not, never was, never will be Grantato's M.O. He will do it his way and will be the Sabres HC until his way starts regressing and shows no signs of being fixable We ain't there yet.

I would of never thought he would make it as a rookie.. Pleasantly surprised and hope he can stick

Welp then thats out the door Benson will not make the club this year at all then. He needs to put on some muscle and weight for the grind of 82 pro games a year plus playoffs.

I think they will send him back and he will play for the Sabres like Levi did last year at the end of the season. This year at seasons start, others are a bit ahead of him.

TB is over the cap aren't they? Stamkos is 33 years old. A major teardown and rebuild is happening sooner than later. I think TB just wants to keep this team together for 1 more run at it. Extensions for Stamkos would have to come at a team discount

What the hell is there to talk about that hasn't been talked about regarding the main team. We've seen every trade scenario, cut screnario, FO scenario just waiting for the regular season to start. We've been patiently waiting for training camp and preseason. I expect this week most conversations will pivot from prospect talk.

Who was playing goal against Pittsburgh

I just assumed he was part of the system already. He did look solid...

Lots of positives through 2 games. Great combo of size and speed on display Our Goalie pipeline is looking much better. Fleming looked real solid. Calm cool and collected. Rosen is a stud. For the most part the Sabres team D was sound. When NJ was pressing the Sabres kept the play to the outside and NJ never really got many scoring chances. Penalty kill on the 5 and 3 Team sticking up for each other with scrums at the end was a positive That was fun Sabres prospect hockey, once again we dominated.

Sabres 3rd goal is real fun highlight real I thought they pretty much dominated. They were a little sloppy early on in the 1st and 2nd periods but that is to be expected with limited practice as a team.

All I consider right now is the trend. Since Adams and Granato took the reigns we have been trending north, and I full expect that to continue IF... We reverse the trend this season then I'll lose some faith, UNTIL THEN... Onwards and Upwards

I'm not choosing. I want both and if I'm forced to choose I'm still picking both
