Kozak looked to be passing Krebs for awhile, but since Kozak's injury Krebs has picked up his game a bit. 

Either way Kozak and Krebs are 4th line guys.  

Östlund has 3 goals and 6 points and earned a spot in the middle 6.  Kulich now has competition for that spot.   Gotta' love the competition.

I can see it both ways.

I have a stronger feeling about start times on Saturdays though.  I love Saturday afternoon games...yet at the same time I wouldn't want to give up Saturday night games.  

In  a perfect world, I'd love the Sabres to play a ton of home games on Saturdays....alternating between 1pm afternoon starts where the building is usually pretty full with kids and families...and then in between have the 7:00 or 7:30 Saturday night game.

Good call.  He isn't listed on the roster on the Sabres website, while both Dunne and Kozak are still there.

I think it's basically a wash between the two, so Lindy gave preference to seniority.

I'd be good with Kozak on that 4th line taking the spot of Greenway.  Kozak, Krebs, Malenstyn would be a good 4th line to me.

I don't care who plays center or Wing.  Krebs or Kozak, whatever.

I'm surprised they are starting him on that top line.

I would think being his first game back with live action, you give him 3rd line minutes +PP time.  Once he gets used to the conditioning/speed of the actual game...after a game or two, move him up to the first line with the additional minutes then.

Keep in mind that everyone in the 1970s just looked OLD.  Jean Stapleton and Carroll O'Connor were 47 when they filmed the first season of All in the Family.  They looked 20 years older than I look today.

So we have no backup D if someone gets a hangnail during warmups.  We'd have to skate 13-5.  I think Kozak might be okay in the 3rd D pair.

Is Kesserling expected to be out for the season?

As you and others have pointed out, this team is starting to have depth and internal competition. So when injuries inevitably happen, the replacements can adequately fill in.

I'm going to try to be a fan again tonight. I went with no show white socks instead of heavier grey socks along with the cozy red and black lounge pants (it doesn't matter that it's not a red and black night). And shirtless of course. This should work.
