It's time to abandon derivatives of "Must Win" in game day threads

This may be a controversial opinion, but it's time to abandon variations of "Must Win" in game day threads. They are the greatest constant during our run of futility and it's time it's left in the past. If there was ever a horse that was beat to death, it's posters commenting Mustard Wegmans and the ilk in game day threads. We haven't had a must win game in 10+ years and that's obviously part of the joke. If people are as optimistic as they say they are, let's leave our old traditions of essentially mocking ourselves and move forward.

More Wussies.

First it was a crackdown on bouncy boob gifs and now this!

How about "should prevail"?   It just doesn't carry the message.

Totally want to abide by original posters wishes. I pledge never to use "must win!". From this time forward I recommend " can't lose!" as a replacement.

Mustard Wegmans

The irony here is that I liked this variation so much that it swayed me against your thesis.

Depends. By “mediocre”, did you mean poor or average? 😄

It is only occurring to me now that this board debate is reminiscent of the discussion of an unladened swallow in Monty Python's Holy Grail.

As an admitted offender, I always thought it was a (mostly) clever way of people to check in.  Not sure what an alternative could be.

Yeah - it's just a thing, imo.
