The Sabres lose a 4-1 lead in the final minute. An enraged and engorged Owen Power reverses the spinning of the earth not only to wipe out the tragic turn of events but in this new game score all 8 Sabre goals in an 8-0 blanking of the moribund Blues.

Tage Thompson outscores ROR 3pts to 0.

In a late roster move, Vlad Sobotka is inserted into the lineup and scores the hattie that Thompson had the assists on.

With Berglund getting the secondary assists?

• This is the second and final meeting between the Sabres and Blues this season.
• Last meeting: St. Louis defeated Buffalo 5-3 in St. Louis on Feb. 25.
• The Sabres are 3-6-1 in their last 10 games against the Blues; 4-6-0 at home.

• This is the 124th game all-time between Buffalo and St. Louis; Buffalo has a 48-58-17 series record.
• The Sabres are 33-23-6 at home against the Blues all-time.
• 24 of the last 29 meetings between these clubs has been decided in regulation.

• The Sabres are seeking a win tonight to give them their first three-game home winning streak against the Blues since Feb. 26, 1987 to Feb. 12, 1989.

• Buffalo has held St. Louis without a power-play goal in six of the last eight meetings between these clubs, going 14-for-16 (87.5 percent) dating back to Feb. 18, 2017.

• Buffalo is 8-5-1 against the Central Division this season and has at least a point in each of the team's last four games against Central Division opponents.

If there were three words I could choose to be permanently banned from Sabrespace they would be: Sobotka, Berglund, and engorged.

I predict Power gets his first point tonight but also makes his first gaffe.
