Oh how I love the pessimistic attitude of Buffalonians.. Wallow in it, bathe in it, get it all over you. I bet it feels just wonderful or could be about future and gaining playing time. playoff teams today are rebuild teams tomorrow... For all the hatred fans throw against the Sabres we still have a very young and talented core and only need a few key pieces. Every team thinks they are only a few pieces away. Time stands still for nobody so by the time we lose all the aging vets like Gionta, Moulson, and Gorges then Okposo will be in his 30's and O'Reilly will be nearly there. What happens if their production falls off a cliff? We think and hope they'll just plateau and then age like wine vs milk but we thought the same thing about Moulson, especially given that his production was never predicated on speed to begin with.
