Wyldnwoody44 Posted October 30, 2023 Report Share Posted October 30, 2023 In Asheville for my sister's wedding. This morning I woke up at 5am to drive to the smokies. Got to Clingmans Dome for sunrise... Drove main road from Cherokee to Gatlinburg, ate breakfast in Pigeon Forge and then back through the park. 72 million tourists taking 500 selfies ruined the place. But also, I'm just not impressed with the Smokies in general, I don't see it having anything to make it a National Park. Got back by 3pm for the wedding, no need to go back to those mountains.
