My point was that the bigger issue is voters are apathetic. of course, it's hard to get excited and go do your part with so many running unopposed. More need to run too. Most people have so much baggage that they would never pass the vetting process. That said, you guys ended up with the guy you have now and the guy before and the guy before that ... no one has ever been a saint who has become President. Nor PM here in Canada.
