JJFIVEOH
Couldn't agree more. No matter what you think of Kane, this seems like some grandstanding by the BPD. And, how does the camera just happen to be there? Media culture.
WanderingEye
Was it really necessary to cuff him? Is this normal for a misdemeanor? When is his arraignment? Probably not, but I don't feel sorry for the guy at all personally.

bob_sauve28
Someone please catch me up. Was Kane arrested for a new thing or was he just charged for what happened in June? Buffalo Sabres forward Evander Kane was charged with criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and harassment today in connection with an incident at a downtown Buffalo bar last month. http://sabres.buffalonews.com/2016/07/22/sabres-evander-kane-charged-with-misdemeanor-trespassing-in-bar-incident/ Buffalo Sabres forward Evander Kane was charged with criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and harassment today in connection with an incident at a downtown Buffalo bar last month. Buffalo Police said Kane is charged with one misdemeanor count of criminal trespass and four counts of non-criminal harassment and one count of non-criminal disorderly conduct. Kane is also charged with a violation of disorderly conduct, alleging that he created “hazardous/offensive condition.” His harassment charges allege that he engaged in “physical conduct” with alleged victims. The allegations stem from an incident early on the morning of June 24 at the Bottoms Up bar, for encounters involving Kane, three women and a bouncer, sources familiar with the case told The Buffalo News. SwampD
Who cares about the cuffing. I'm just relieved that he wasn't shot first.
Derrico
Who cares about the cuffing. I'm just relieved that he wasn't shot first. Politically I don't think I should be laughing but that was really funny.

Claude Balls
Only off the sidewalk at T-Foots when my brother is working. Im pretty sure Whiskey, who is not my bro, has never done anything to get bounced. Did you know Jake when he bounced/tended there? Real good friend of mine. PromoTheRobot
They arrested him outside the station. Why does one need to be arrested when you voluntarily surrender? Sounds like grandstanding.
Eleven
Why does one need to be arrested when you voluntarily surrender? Sounds like grandstanding. I'm not really sure of the need to cuff him outside the station. But arrest leads to a few things, including an arraignment date and the right to bail. So that step is necessary. ubkev
As someone who might have known a guy who has had to turn themselves in to police before on a couple occasions, I can confirm, he never once got cuffed.
Cisse
If we are lucky we can get a bucket of pucks for him. We should try to trade him to Blue Jackets. Kekäläinen has done other odd decisions in the past so you never know what we could get for Kane.
PotentPowerPlay22
I'd pay good money to see Tim Murray's reaction upon being informed of this. This is the guy Tim Murray desperately wanted from Winnipeg (baggage and all). Tim Murray needs to take full responsibility. The red flags were flying high and yet he ignored them. What have you got to say Tim?

K-9
What legal red flags were there again? I just remember a track suit. Agreed. Suggesting GMTM should have anticipated legal troubles for Kane and be held accountable for them, is bullschit. GO SABRES!!!
Peter
Couldn't agree more. No matter what you think of Kane, this seems like some grandstanding by the BPD. And, how does the camera just happen to be there? Absolutely. Totally gratuitous and obvious that they called the media ahead of time. They really must have absolutely nothing on him given the BS charge as well. If his name were Joe Smith, there is no way he would have been treated like this (either the investigation, charges, or calling the media obviously). BS charges or not, one of the three women or the bouncer involved has decided to press those bullschit charges. The police have a responsibility to respect that.
