There's only 1 way to fix this and Pegula doesn't have the balls to do it. You go through this list and fire 75% of these people. You fire everyone who's been here for 10+ years. Some won't deserve it, you are right, but at this point it is about a hard reset.

Does anyone else besides me think that if we weren't down our 3, 4, 5, and 6th F and Dahlin was actually able to be Dahlin, that we'd be in a playoff spot right now?

The only one I could maybe fault the team for is the #3 being down given his long injury history... Though are we any better with Cozens playing?

It's true that the reasons for firing everyone go way back prior to this season, so there's that, but I kind of think this team when healthy could be good. Unfortunately, we'll be way too far back for it to matter if we ever do get everyone back

Yes, except that the PP is a complete disaster and shouldn’t be. Can’t really blame that on injuries. A good PP would go a long way, of course as soon as it gets fixed the PK would probably start to falter

Would expect that if they were healthy they'd be sitting at a playoff spot but without fixing the PP (which essentially means canning Appert, which wouldn't be happening if they were on a 0.600 playoff pace) they'd almost definitely fall out of the playoffs when other teams get serious come January and when the inevitable injury bug were to then strike.

No.  Because even with those players in the lineup the defensive zone coverage still doesn't understand the concept of the backdoor or trailing high slot player.

Also this, but I don't think they'd be in a playoff spot because the coaching is horrible and the PP sucks along with defensive zone coverage.

It's not alarming and it's not unique.  It's a call out that it's tougher to play in a market where fans are critical of the product on the ice. We hear players talk about the pressure of playing in Toronto and Montreal. It's a real thing.

We're viewing this from the eyes of LONG TIME fans where it's been misery and we're critical because it's been misery. It's not easy for anyone to jump into that scenario and have the same feeling as coming from a market where fans were just excited they had a hockey team. 

To me this is much ado about nothing and an attempt to stir the pot by a media personality. It's harder to play in Buffalo than Utah and certainly Arizona where so few cared about the team that they kept bouncing around to the arena that would have them.

In my opinion he's complimenting the Buffalo area as being a hockey market with fans who don't accept an inferior product. I don't think it's a sentiment that he isn't the type of player to embrace it. He's just commenting on the difference.

Imo, he is merely saying that in Utah, the fans were just happy to have a team. In Buffalo, they are actually hockey fans.

and I also said this last year about how one of the core issues is how terrible they are at evaluating players psychologically. McKinnon has a bad reputation as being a psycho and being a jerk of a teammate essentially, but that comes with being one of the best players in the world and leading a team. You have to hold guys accountable and we see the same thing not happening with the Buffalo Bills. You have to have players that are willing to not be your best buddy 24/7/365. You’re either there to win and be truly great or you’re there to cash a check. All we have are cash checkers. Other than Benson honestly.

We need to stop bringing in guys that even notice this stuff. They should be so freaking focused on improving on the ice that they don’t hear any noise. I honestly don’t know if this is a younger generation thing when they’re always on their phones and always on social media and hearing all the noise but this ***** is pathetic. 

Stay off social media and focus on your game. So sick of the whining from these guys. And we have no ability to evaluate players that can stay focused and hold themselves accountable and hold each other accountable

Mr. Kesselring. I pay your salary. I work a job 8+ hours a day 6 days a week to buy tickets, pay for the ability to watch tv and buy merchandise. The franchise  you currently play for has been a depressing chaotic mess for the last 14 years. I will be critical whenever I want and boo you off the ice. My boss pays me a ridiculously good salary to achieve at a high level everyday and I expect the same from you everyday you get on the ice.

He liked playing in a market new to hockey where everything was positive and also respects the fact that Buffalo has educated and more demanding fans.

There's no reason to read anything negative into it unless you want to.

I guess I am wondering... how many years of the exact same performance, the same exact lack luster, lazy, soft attitude, the focus on April tee times, blown leads to lose in OT, the dead last in the conference position, etc.... how may do we think that we need to see to realize that this is what this team is...?  We have injuries every year...  how do we get to I think we could be good... not I am not trying to hammer your thought... not at all , but from my perspective...  I cite the definition of insanity, do the same thing over and over and expect a different result...  I am sorry, I just cant see my way there... and I think further... we are edging closer to an internal issue as I believe players like Tuch, Thompson, Dahlin, Power, Levi, and looking at Kesselrings latests comments.... are just done with this garbage and abject incompetence and ineptitude of our FO and owner...   and this situation will get much worse much much worse and take years and years to get better... there will be an absolute gutting of this team of any talented play with the knowledge that we are only getting table scraps for them and we have absolutely no ability to get new and talented players in here because our GM and Owner are so toxic and inept they make the NY Jets and Cleveland Browns look like geniuses
