Welp, another game I won't be wasting 3 hours of my night on. Much nicer to simply look at the boxscore and then decide whether it's even worth watching the "highlights".

At this point, that's all they deserve from any of us, if even that.

We should also look into getting Ristolainen back and then pair him with Dahlin and build an "All-Rasmus" line so we can be the first team in NHL history to have a line where every player has the same name.

If we aren't going to win games, at least do something original.

Also unsure of why "Erasmus" is such a popular name in Sweden...

We had three Rasmi at one point.  It didn't help.

We had a Rastrick at one point. It made that single game pretty awesome.

And if the Sabres played every game with the energy of Team Crystal Light, they'd win the President's Trophy.

It's definitely not. They gave up on themselves before the season even started apparently.

it's certainly trending that way, but we have a lot of injured guys.  if they can stay in it until they start getting guys coming back... i could see them maybe putting together a streak. the biggest question was goaltending this year and it would seem that lyon is a viable solution for this year, so i'm not writing us off until they continue failing once most of their dudes are back (aside from norris).

the slow start after the injuries definitely says something about their ability to handle adversity though.

Hence, the origin of my screen name. We kept the good Ras and hopefully he stays on our roster.

Go Sabres

I'll be watching on delay as I'll be calling a high school volleyball game on cable TV tonight. PM for a link. It might be more exciting to watch.

Hope not. Upl is bad

Did they waive Ellis back to STL already or are they going to carry 3 goalies for a couple months again? And let two of them rot while Ruff runs Lyon into the ground?

I made a deal with them. Once they are in a playoff position at any time after November 15th, I will start watching. Until then, I'm giving my brain some well needed rest from them.

Kulich needs to play and he needs to score, same with Quinn. Quinn usually plays well against Ottawa so I am predicting he gets one tonight.

Jack Quinn played well against Ottawa last year, 3 goals in 4 games last year.

For his career vs Ottawa, 10 games 3 goals (all last year), 2 asissts, -5. (full season that would project out to 25 goals, 16 assists, and a -41)

They are messing with a 21 year old's head. I don't like this approach. He will either over try now and thus make mistakes or he will quit (unlikely but possible). I don't see this working at this stage of his career. The veterans have to step up. Oh wait, that's right, we don't have veteran leaders.

They seemed to be able to beat Ottawa last year. Maybe this year too. Notice we are already getting the back up goalie against us benefit and it's only October.

Must win. 🙂
