Please make deflate gate go away. I've never cared about anything less.

It's brutal. Although, I have a hard time listening to Brady say he believes in fair play and always has, when it has already been proven that he doesn't.

Yikes...that is a big-time pita. Sorry, Eleven.

A few years ago, my credit card was one in a group of thousands that "were likely compromised". So, Bank of America did a nice thing by disabling it so it wouldn't be used. Upon calling them to ask what happened they told me they were planning on telling me via a letter in the mail. Yes, that's right...snail mail. No email, no phone call...a letter. It's not as if the "letter" would contain the new card that needed activation - just a letter to tell me the card was likely compromised and I should expect a new card within a few days after that. This was 2010 (I think) and I was wondering if it was actually 1950. I asked why not an immediate phone call and the agent told me (in so many words) that they didn't have the man power to make that many calls.

In these days of high-tech everything, they couldn't even set up an automated robo-call to inform the customer? They had no answer for me when I asked what if I was already out of town or if I had an automatic payment set up to go to that card in the next day or so.

The lesson...check your balances every day. This is the only reason I knew there was a problem before I would have run into a sticky spot.

B of A might be the worst retail bank in history. (I am a former depositor, so this isn't just based on Internet hearsay.) Get outta there!

So, we've had to do a lot of research to figure out how to prepare medical marijuana for our daughter. A lot. It's amazing, though, just how much misinformation there is out there. It's almost like it's by design. I have learned a lot and have actually have gotten unbelievable results.

My complaint is that through it all, I think that I'm actually pro Big Pharma. Never thought I would ever say that. Some of the best info I got was actually reading a patent application for a pharmaceutical company working on it.

Trying to help others with what I've learned and have them just not listen, or even worse, tell me my science is wrong is maddening. Especially when they are getting their information from the Psychedelic Chef (I made that up but I'm sure he's out there). While it may work for a small percentage like us, I think for most people it really would be better for their doctor to prescribe a little green pill and send them on their way. It's certainly less frustrating and heck, it's even covered by insurance.

I think bud (marijuana) may be a special circumstance in this case. I imagine what you're finding, and what's no doubt flooded the internet, is a bunch of stoners pretending they're scientists/doctors on forums or other sites and spewing misinformation. No?

I've been waiting to hear about a possible promotion from my boss and it's now been three months since I applied and over a month since I interviewed. Unfortunately, I'm up against some external candidates, so I have no idea if the boss is willing to give the job to me or just wants someone from the outside. I've done what most people would do - ask for a status - twice now and I get the same responses...in process, should know something by this date, etc.

I had a big problem finding the right strain and quality of marijuana, too.  And of course the supply chain is inherently suspect.  Why medical marijuana isn't readily available is baffling.  At least, in a few months, you'll be able to cross into NYS and get what you need.

I'm not sure if they are pretending, I think they just don't know and are repeating what they have read somewhere else.

I'm in NJ and can get what I need very easily and more importantly, legally. Buying it here has been nothing but a wonderful experience.

I'm going to continue with my complaint now. Parents jump through hoops to get the cards (fingerprints, doctors, psychiatrists,...), then get the weed and have no idea what to do with it. We got some more last week, and afterward, they actually kept us there to pick our brains so they could find out what we were doing, so they could tell other parents. They even had one of the growers come out to meet us. She was really happy to meet one of the people she was helping and actually got down on the floor to play with her for a while. It was really cute. But how is this information not out there and how do they not know it? They have to ask some random parents for it?...

I'm sick of hearing about Marshawn Lynch.  Once he uses the same response to the first two or three questions, why do people bother to ask more?  I understand being there at the start of the talk, just out of the chance that this could be the day he finally says something.  He makes it clear very fast that it isn't that day.

Sports writers need something to write about, so they go for the low hanging fruit rather than putting in some effort and actually analyzing the matchup.

My complaint: sinus infections. They're miserable no matter what, and even worse when you have to give multiple 3 hour lectures through the week. And to top it all off, whenever you sniffle in public everyone around you looks mortified like you're about to give them the flu.

Stay back, I don't need the flu right now.

I'd also like to know why the league, knowing that he won't talk, puts him in a high profile location on media day. Why not just bury him with the practice squad players that no one wants to talk to. Actually, I know that the league loves the attention this gets, but there are so many ways around it if his refusal to talk actually had legitimate causes.

Just curious what those might be. He has talked to the press in the past. I think he's just being a dick. I say keep sticking him out there and keep fining him. Someone should tell him that those reporters are the reason he can demand millions of dollars a year and he isn't going to last forever. The league giveth, the league taketh away.

I can see some scenarios where a player wouldn't be able to talk. All of them would be extremely rare though. In Lynch's case, I see it as nothing more than an act of rebellion.

I'm indifferent to Lynch either way, the media thing gets annoying after awhile but they do go overboard with everything in SB week; fire alarms, Brady's cold, Sherman's kid, yada-yada-yada.

What confused me is Lynch's "shout out to all my real Africans" comment. Really? Maybe he doesn't wanna talk to the media because he knows he'll say stupid sh!t.

I did not know it was legal in Jersey. Good.

Not really a complaint as much as amusing.

The classroom/lab I'm teaching in this semester is pretty small. Just enough seats for my class (20). Came in early last night to set up a demo to find a large group of students (not mine) hanging out around one of the computers blasting NSFW videos and generally just chilling.

I let them be until about 10 minutes before class, informed them about the class being in there at 6. 2 of them left, leaving a good 8 or so still there. 5 before class, all of my students are in the room, standing there staring at them because there's nowhere to sit. I tell them to leave, a little sterner this time. All but one chick goes. This girl (a Pittsburgh Penguins fan, judging from her team logo hat, but I digress) has her crap spread out over 3 desks and just keeps eating (not supposed to in a lab) and glaring at me.

"Excuse me, are you in digital illustration one and weren't here Monday?"

"What, are you like, a professor or something?"

"Yes. This is my class. If you're not enrolled, I need you to leave."

"You. You're actually a professor. This is an open lab."

"Yes I am, and only when there's no class. There aren't enough seats for-"

"Fine. Geez. I'm going." *rolls eyes and sighs*

I started calling roll and she realized that yes, I actually am a professor, in which she finally sped up her crap gathering and half ran out of there.

Sometimes being indistinguishable from my students is kinda funny (the look on the other kids' faces when they realized I'd been watching them watch porn, basically), sometimes it's a pain in the ass.

I don't know if it's just him being stupid or him trying to say stupid things. I just say "Get over yourself" and either talk to the media (like Russell Wilson, Richard Sherman, and everyone else on your team does) or shut up and pay the fine. It's not funny anymore.

Not to mention, the actual act of fining someone for not talking to the media is pretty silly.

More and more websites (banking/investing) and now my damn log on to my work computer keep asking me to change my log in password every 30 days.  Ok fine, I guess that's a good practice.  Except now you can't use any of your last 25 passwords.  25!!  How am I to remember my newest password every 30 days when it has to be something completely different (they don't even accept it if it's close to your last one).  Why are you telling me how protective I have to be with my own damn password.  That should (and use to be) for me to decide.

Do you have any kind of password management program? I heartily recommend Keepass.

My dad had some kind of severe stomach bug over the weekend that landed him in urgent care, passed out with an IV.  He's finally getting better, but yesterday my stepmom caught it.  And this morning the two of them had to drive from DE to NY for some extremely unpleasant family business.

The short version:  for as long as I can remember, my grandmother and her best friend have lived together as companions after both of their husbands passed too young.  They used to live in Florida, but a couple years ago moved back to NY to be near my Aunt.  Her friend's mentally handicapped adult daughter ended up moving with them, so there are three people living in a small place intended for 1-2.  Her friend has had MS for years, and it's to the point now where she is fairly physically incapacitated (diapers, no driving herself, etc).  My grandmother's memory has been in a steep decline the last year or so, but physically she's a healthy 86 year old woman.  The result has been her being caretaker and essentially waiting hand and foot on her friend, which isn't a good situation, and it came to light that her "friend" has been using her financially to buy things for herself without properly attending to my grandmother's own finances.  And very recently, my aunt discovered that this "friend" secretly arranged for a friend of hers to fly up, rent a van, and move them all back to Florida, against my grandmother's wishes.  So my dad, stepmom, and aunt were all planning to be there this morning to intercept the whole thing, serve her "friend" with a  non-removal order for my grandmother, and hope that she and her daughter do leave without her.  My grandmother will also be served with a petition to be declared incompetent to handle her own affairs so my aunt can take over in this regard.  It's bound to be ugly and emotional, and I am on pins and needles waiting for updates (which may not come, since I don't know that they have cell service there).  Just a horrible all-around situation.

No matter how careful you are with your password, there's a chance that it'll be compromised in some other way. None the less, I find a good scheme for passwords is to use phrases that are easy to remember and type rather than "substitute 0 for o and whatnot" (hint: the password crackers know that trick and try the words with 0 and o).

You can choose your own theme, but an example could be "Buffalo Sabres", so you password would be "Christian Ruutu #21" or "Taro Tsujimoto #0". Complex (with all four character classes), unlikely to be randomly guessed, and longer than most would normally remember (those are 20 characters). Better yet, rotate themes each change (movies, book quotes, famous tank commanders, etc.). Even better yet, intentionally make mistakes so even if someone learns your pattern you might fool them. "Wayne Gretzky #98", for instance.
