Guess it could be kind of cool if they showed all the 1001 permutations on a video board like the Sabres now have but with team logos instead of the actual # combos and as balls get drawn, all the losing combinations go dark until there's only 1 logo left lit up. 1 Quote

That would be a great way to do it. 1 Quote

DarthEbriate Posted Friday at 10:42 PM Report Posted Friday at 10:42 PM Or a kids' game show approach: when your team's odds are reduced to 0.0, the trapdoor under your GM's feet is unlocked and they fall into a swimming pool under the floor (and are promptly rescued), OR they just get slimed. Nickelodeon could simulcast it. 3 Quote

OverPowerYou Posted Saturday at 12:21 PM Report Posted Saturday at 12:21 PM I don’t follow the lottery. What are the Odds we get a top 2 pick? Quote

What are the Odds we get a top 2 pick? 6.5% chance for 1st, 6.7 for 2nd, 0.2 for 3rd, 44.4 for 7th, 36.5 for 8th, and 5.6 for 9th. San Jose has the best chance for 1st at 25.5%. I wish the league showed it live like this when we lost McDavid. I still think it was rigged to punish the Sabres for tanking. 1 Quote

Yea like the NHL needs to punish the Sabres... the Sabres do a fine job punishing themselves. If anything they probably knew the Sabres would waste McDavids career. Mr. Allen Posted Saturday at 04:18 PM Report Posted Saturday at 04:18 PM Boston wins it this year. Pitt wins it next year. And the major markets are back on track. 1 Quote
DarthEbriate Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago Tonight is the night. Which team will jump past the Sabres to push them to 8th? The smart money is on Pitt or NYR. But from a league perspective, Utah would or CBJ could really use the prospect jolt (although neither could get to #1) at least get them in front of Buffalo. Quote
Stads Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago I ran the NHL Tankathon lottery 50 times. We finished 2nd one time. The rest were 7th or 8th Quote

Mustache of God Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago What are the odds GMKA chokes on a ping-pong ball and we end up with a new GM by default? 1 Quote
TheAud Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago I ran it once. Sabres got the first pick right off the bat, so I stopped there. Quote

If a team outside the bottom 10 wins the first-place lottery, they only move up a max of 10 spots, so it's possible their "win" yields second place overall, and if the Sabres won the second-place lottery, they would default to #3 overall. My limited understanding. 1 1 Quote
