Absolutely can't trade with the Chiefs for any reasoning, We have now given them Mahomes and if Worthy (Not saying he will) turns into another Tyreek Hill we're even more screwed plus trading out of the 1st round we now lose the 5th year option. Beane is really shitting the bed in this draft imo. Unless his plan is to bring in a veteran WR via trade then this really makes no sense.

Everytime he was on the ice it seemed like he was doing all the right things. I agree with others that he needs to work on his shot and skating but I think those will all improve with experience. My main nitpick with him is that he needs to get bigger and I don't mean grow a few inches but good for him if he does lol He needs to add on some muscle because he went down very easily at times but again I think he'll continue with a nutritionist and get to where he needs to be. What I really liked about his game was he never hesitated going in front of the net and although he knows he isn't the biggest or toughest guy out there he's a scrapper and stood up for himself when needed to. There is so much in his game that he can change so I'm looking forward to see what a real NHL HC and assistants can do for his game.

I don't know if he'll ever be those players or not but like I said it can be taught and those 2 players are a good example imo.

He has the size though and you can teach it.... Victor hedman and Chara are examples who weren't the players they are now until about 4 years into their careers, Chara I think even a bit later. I think another player who will benefit from Ruff if he's not dealt in a trade is Mattias Samuelsson, he throws the body around just not nearly enough for me to get excited, he also shows grit along the boards, but to me he just needs more development.

I don't know what to make of it since it's clearly a PR move but Ruff is a top notch HC, he hasn't won the big 1 yet but I'd l;ove for him to get the Cup with this squad, man that would be like a fairytale ending for all involved. I truly think he can push this group into the playoffs but i really need to see the lineup before deciding, we can't go into this just rebuilding the 4th line, there needs to be serious changes imo.

I thought Ryan Johnson was the better defensemen.

So this is exactly what the talking heads on the radio were talking about. Ruff was basically hired on to toughen this group up and Seth Appert will take over after the 2 years.

Jay Leach- (Kraken) - He helped Charlie Mcavoy/Connor Clifton and Jeremy lauzon become the players they are today although Clifton's a work in progress still. Mark Recch (Columbus)- I have no clue what type of assitant he was, I'm assuming forwards? It just says senior advisor when he was in Dallas with Ruff and just says assistant coach in Columbus on the staff page but it's never bad to have hall of famers teaching you the ropes. It's hard to think who would run the power play, all the top teams in the playoffs aside from Boston had the best power plays so I doubt we can poach any of those guys.

This makes no sense, because he doesn't want Lindy Ruff who just got fired from a young team like ours he doesn't want the team to win? There were 2 Stanley Cup winning coaches out there and we pick the worst of those 3. Are you sure you dont want to see the Bills record broken?

I liked Ruff back in the day, thought he was a great HC but he needed to go when he did as i feel he lost the room. He hasn't really been all that great since leaving the Sabres and we picked him over 2 head coaches who actually won a Stanley Cup in Gallant and Berube. So what I'm gathering from the talking heads on the radio is that they don't believe he's a Stanley Cup winning HC but a HC who will come in, demand respect, get the kids up and running and then Seth Appert will take over in 2 years. If he's not a Stanley Cup contending HC why the hell did we bring him in here? Wasn't the goal to not only win 1 Stanley cup but, multiple years? Now the standard is to get tough and maybe make the playoffs? This organization is so trash they have to use nostalgia to bring people in to this arena and this will be all the 50-60 year olds wet dream seeing a former player/HC and now returning HC come back yet again and we'll wait way too long to fire him when he fails because "Buffalo legend".

This game is like watching my son destroy kids on his Xbox in NHL 24.

The Jets team give me hope that we can become that type of team with no real superstar other than Morissey/Hellebuyk and a bunch of solid players.

This Jets/Avs would have been a blast to go to.
