It's also weird that the NHL regular season continues for 3 more days after Buffalo is done.

Sweet mercy from the NHL scheduler.

I will be in attendance.....

I hope they play better for you than they did for me in Dallas.

There’s a *slight* shot that a win today, with some help, can get us in the dance

Is the help several teams suddenly fold and are declared ineligible for the playoffs?

At least after tonight the official off-season starts and as such the debate over management changes can really take hold.  We knew they wouldn't change in season...

But for tonight.. they can enjoy one last game.  Not sure I will bother.

More like waste management.  🗑 We will be sewn false promises and deliver zilch.

Last one. The angst will be over for a while. But will we miss them when they're gone? Be honest.

Five months is a long time to be jonesing for a Sabres game…

Let’s all enjoy tonight!

I’m happy this ***** show is coming to an end. It may be the single most frustrating season I can remember.  At least the tank years were by design.  What has this abomination been?

Please. A **** show is under 20 wins. This was a mediocrity. This is the analog of the Bills string of 7-9 seasons. Not good enough for the playoffs, not bad enough for a top pick.

Let's talk draft position. A Sabres win locks up the 11th pick. A loss and they could be anywhere between 11 and 8. NJ, CGY and SEA could jump past us.

How does that impact lottery odds?

11 = 3%

10 = 3.5%

9 = 5%

8 = 6%

It's also weird that the NHL regular season continues for 3 more days after Buffalo is done.

Gotta Lose.

Once we were eliminated (really even before we were technically eliminated as we were a couple of games prior to that for all intents ..), I’d have brought a bunch of guys up and let them play. And I would not care about winning too much. We want the best draft position possible. Even if we decided to trade it for a vet the higher the pick the better.

I think the playoff race in the AHL prevented that. The Amerks can earn still the #1 seed in the conference.

I was going to type something really snarky, like "the NHL regular season continues for 138 more days after Buffalo is done".

But I won't.

I know why you say this but I think everyone was expecting a solid playoff year.  It was doomed almost immediately. Every key game was lost.  Anytime they absolutely had to have it, they fell on their face.

I had no expectations until this season.

The only thing worth watching for tonight is to see if Kucherov can hit 100 assists on the season, which is pretty dang impressive.

I just glanced at the scoring leaders and the Sabres point leader is Alex Tuch with 59 points. That ranks him #90 out of all skaters. Let that sink in, there are 89 other players who have more points than the Sabres top scorer.

Here's to hoping that this is Donny's last game.

Hey, but he taught defense this year.

Given the false hope, I agree.

I will be less trusting in what Adams has to say this off season.  I look forward to watching his moves though.

Conroe is getting the start. Adams must want him highlighted for a blockbuster offseason trade. 😏

Do you mean Comrie?

If yes,  Then 6-2 Bolts.  Clifton, Dahlin, and Tuch will all get majors for fighting.

Officially, the 2nd most successful Buffalo Sabres season in the past 12 years?
