Anderson played great.  Not sure we would have held up without him.  They need to bring in  an NHL goalie in next year and make UPL outplay him.

Or another goalie to play in a complimentary role.   Like Edwards and Suave or Miller and Biron

I was most interested to see how they'd come out or bounce back after that Ottawa debacle so it was good to see speed and energy right from the get go. These games give little glimpses of what might be in the near future, the speed, the skill. Good passing overall and good effort.  Third period not great as is too often the case this year but an enjoyable evening all the same. Enjoy it while it lasts because tomorrow..............

Yotes are slow. Yotes are bad. I think they might be tanking 🙂

No.  Next year they should consider Anderson a vet coach and a #3.  That’s it.  He is not reliable to play that much at his age.

They need a decent NHL vet to share the pipes with UPL.

Just to be clear for those not watching: this line never happened in the game.

Is it just me, or does Tuch look even better with Krebs or Cozens than Skinner/Tage?

Have been saying Tuch & Cozens have chemistry since the 1st game they played together.  And Krebs absolutely has chemistry w/ Tuch & seems to have it w/ Mittelstadt too.

Would have either of those C's w/ Tuch & Krebs before putting Thompson & Skinner w/ Tuch, but it's not our call.

If they're ever healthy (& not injured) would have Tage between Asplund &`Olofsson.  Those guys had chemistry too.

The passing and puck support looked like a team that had actually been able to practice as a single, healthy group for a few days -- until earlier today when the COVID tests started failing. But the Sabres had the semblance of a nearly full roster. Plus an NHL-caliber goalie.

And yes, the Coyotes are who we thought they were. Vejmelka kept that game respectable. It could as easily have been in the 6-1 or 7-2 range.
