Thorny Posted October 11, 2021 Report Share Posted October 11, 2021 There are of course exceptions, but generally after the draft/FA passes in the early offseason, and people say "there's lots of time until the season starts" - it's more so wishful thinking. Don't understand why Sabres wouldn't grab this guy. Even in a tank plan this would have been a good zero risk pick up. If they send him down w/in a certain time frame (IIRC, 1st 30 days or w/ in player's 1st 10 games) then if the original claiming club claims him & lands him they can send him down w/out releasing waivers.
