That Aud Smell
I'm making you a promise. I will never buy a jersey with a sponsorship on it. I'll just keep buying jerseys on eBay from the old days and I'll be content with that. Just wait 'til your own boy immortalizes #58 and Pegula Sports and Entertainment is front and center. Tom Backyard
I support Nottingham Forest, an English football club. I have a a handful of Forest kits, which I bought without the sponsor. They're very nice. The only kit I have with a sponsor is the mid-90's Labatt's sponsor jersey. It's fun to get drunk wearing that shirt. It can be sort of fun if the sponsor is the right one. That Aud Smell
Good for you, Tom B. And, hey. Great screen name. Did Labatt sponsor Nottingham Forest?! Also, wasn't Nottingham the opponent when the tragedy of the 96 occurred?
thewookie1
This is a sad day for all American sports

Remember little league, we were the Yankees sponsored by Pasquale's Pizza's and Subs on Hertle Avenue... out of Shoshone Park. Memories. But God awful sponsorship logo on shirts. Huckleberry
I'm used to it by now because of football, but jerseys have like 6 sponsors on them, its to much. one in the front and one in the back I can handle.
JJFIVEOH
Here's a novel idea, how about instead of advertisement money from ads on jerseys making it into the wallets of the teams, owners and players......... take that revenue and reduce ticket prices? If you're going to continue to ruin the sport at least think about the fans for once.
ubkev
I was the only kid on my AYSO team who didn't iron the Dannon yogurt patch onto my sleeve, because I thought it was stupid as a 9 year old. Oh and Little League.... UAW, represent!

SDS
The only way to prevent this is social media outrage towards the individual advertisers themselves. Unflattering memes might make them think twice, but the fans would have to have the stamina of Forest Gump going for a run.
Weave
I predict outrage now and quick acceptance in the future… Yup. And in another decade fans will be wearing those sponsor logos proudly like NASCAR fans.
Taro T
Yup. And in another decade fans will be wearing those sponsor logos proudly like NASCAR fans. Most will. Some of us never bought into the a.s.s. (slug, more commonly referred) and won't buy into this crud eitner.
Huckleberry
Always found it strange such a revenue stream remained untapped in North American sports. If its only one sponsor I never minded it, but some football teams got like 4 - 5 all over their jerseys.

WildCard
Probably been posted before, but ... NHL to Test Uniform Ads During 2016 World Cup. And I was going to actually get tickets to that. I won't buy their jerseys, hats, or any of their if they ever put ads on jerseys.
