The early reviews on the QBs are worse than I thought was possible. If we had even a mediocre guy back there like Andy Dalton or Colin Kaepernick I would be wondering how deep in the playoffs we would be going... Not if we'll be able to manage a winning record.

I'm feeling as excited as ever about the Bills. 9-7 last year with Orton who wasn't special. But there's no doubt Orton made some throws that won us a few games. I'm not sure we've got a guy who can do that. We've got some guys that will lose us some games if given the chance.

It is only OTAs, but it's not looking promising.

It's OTAs, the entire offense is learning yet another new scheme, there's a lot of new pieces.  The QBs and their targets need to build chemistry.  I'd wait until training camp to make any sort of judgement on these guys.  I never judge a team based on OTAs.  Not to mention, Eric Wood and someone else on the offense said it has been very difficult trying to install the new offense with as disruptive a defense as we have (most of these guys played in Pettine's D so it's not that new to most of the starters).

I'm not trying to be an apologist for them, but there are a myriad of reasons for the slow development in the spring.

He made some throws in his first few starts that won games, but was a huge liability under center after those first few games. I see no reason to think whichever turd wins the job can't do the same. Even terrible QBs have a couple good games each year.

@AllbrightNFL: #Broncos attempted to trade Peyton Manning this off-season to the Houston #Texans per more than one source in position to know. (1/2)

@AllbrightNFL: 2/2 Certain elements of Broncos organization wanted Osweiler era to begin this season.

@AllbrightNFL: Have two unrelated official sources on this, would be a hilariously oddly coordinated lie, if what they were telling me was untrue.

The Broncos STRONGLY denied that and Albright has been on an island with several strange reports before.

@ProFootballTalk: Also, the Texans told PFT they have no comment on the report of the Broncos trying to trade Peyton Manning to Houston.

Spikes comes clean about his car: it was a hit and run with 3 injured, and the car was uninsured. He gets probation for a year

Sign him at league min for a vet now.

None of the injuries were serious, from what I've read.  Just an idiot riding his sportscar hard.

No thanks. It's only media problems and at this point I'm not sure there's even a spot for him with Brown and Powell playing so well (according to their brief camps)

I will assume that you know more about the Bills than I and yield.  But really, not even for the vet minimum?

This is too good.

On this week's edition of "The Rich Eisen Podcast," Eisen passed along a version of the story from Warren Sapp, who was a teammate of Russell's on the Oakland Raiders. The coaches would send Russell home with a game-plan DVD loaded with plays and ideas to study. Suspecting that their bonus-baby quarterback was skipping his homework, the coaches slipped in a blank DVD one day. When Russell returned, he reportedly said the game plan looked good to him.
