Based on historical data.... we can expect UPL to fall somewhere between Tiim Thomas and Dominik Hasek 👍

Well, Finland is roughly 925 miles from the Czech Republic. Seems about the gap between UPL and Hasek talent wise

Interesting choice given that he's part of the goaltending problem of the Blues right now.  He has his moments but more often than not he doesn't.

True.  But he came to mind because he showed up at 25, never played in the NHL, and leads his team to a Cup.

Binnington is even more volatile than UPL, with higher highs and lower lows.  Wins a Stanley Cup as a rookie, selected to NHL All Star first team, wins a  Gold in 4 Nations tournament.

Currently he has a 3.34 GAA and a 0.859 SV%.    He is not looking like an Olympic team goalie for Canada.

Suprised Ellis isn’t starting, I feel he would pitch a shutout against his former team!

St. Louis got destroyed last night so they should come out with some fire

Play like we did against Utah and we will win this game….hopefully in regulation

My quick $0.02 is that the thinking is that we desperately need to close out a win in regulation so they are playing their best goaltender while they are short handed with their forward group.

Not saying I agree or disagreem, but that is likely the thinking.

In order to be something other than what they've been, in order to be different, this Sabres team needs to start stacking some wins. Two of three, here. Two of three, there.

This game is one they need to have, one they must have.

Let's Go, Buffalo!

On Nov 2nd last season they were 4-7-1.

They would proceed to win 7 of the next 9 games to climb to 3rd place in the Atlantic with a record of 11-9-1.

If history is a guide, good times are ahead 🙂

Have you watched the Sabres the last decade or two?  They fumble games like this routinely. Like it’s almost a certainty this game will be harder than it should with a good chance the Sabres lose.

with all of the injuries, this group is either better than expected or overachieving.  i'm not sure which

I think they’re better than expected, but I would absolutely love to see a healthy lineup as soon as possible

Good times ahead?  Didn't a 13 game winless streak follow?

Jordan Kyrou is a healthy scratch for the Blues tonight

You want Ellis back? You also have to take Quinn and you need to retain on Kyrou. We'll make the handoff in pre-game.

Well I would have played Ellis, just because, but whatever.

Blues are sucking this year so pounce on them early. The Montgomery magic seems to be gone.

Unless it's a trade pending that's some serious message sending. Sabres should do that with Quinn.

The big difference between Binnington and UPL is Binny hsa 6 seasons in the NHL at .900 or better.

Interesting that Draftkings only has STL at +114 on the moneyline. Not that much of an underdog considering this is night 2 of a road back-to-back. The sharps seem to agree with your line of thinking.

This is a prime opportunity to scout the skeletal remains of the Blues. See if there’s any meat left on some of the bones.

Beware the Ides of Patrik Berlung and Vladimir Sobotka

Good to see you are still a "Ray of Sunshine".

In the last 10 games the Sabres have the most points in the Division on any team other than the Canadians.
