Krebs - Thompson - Greenway
Doan - McLeod - Tuch
Rosén - Östlund - Quinn
Malenstyn - Dunne - Geersten

Krebs got a look in preseason with Norris-TNT, so I'd presume he goes up the lineup. But Rosén or Östlund on TNT's line wouldn't surprise me to try to better balance out the AHLers.

I don't exactly hate that.  But why do we even have Geersten?

I’d suggest not making suggestions to me.

I'd suggest suggesting more realistic suggestions.  This is, after all, the internet.

Because much as Granato loved him some Jokiharju, Ruff loves him some Geersten.

That was a weird way of talking about Kulich. I mean if he's sick, like Zucker, wouldn't they just say they are both ill? Why is Zucker ill but Kulich is dealing with something not physical and not an injury? wtf does that mean? Hurt feelings?

Teams are getting weirder and weirder about injuries and players out of the line up.

Kulich could have an inner ear condition called labyrinthitis, the symptoms include dizziness to the point where the room feels like it is spinning, nausea and vomiting.

It’s usually caused by virus but can also be a bacterial infection.

It's literally being discussed exactly what that is, Ruff told us, in this thread.

Where did Ruff say what @Brawndo said? He was less than specific in his words.

An ear thing is a physical thing. It is caused by an illness. Why not just say that right away?

Cuz his first game back someone is gonna wet willie his ear hole and re-not injure him.

Do I gotta lay everything out for everyone?

I tried warning Yall with their wack ass “day to day” “week to week” designations. It’s oddly vague and Canadian. Just tell us how long you think it’s gonna be.  If the medical staff can’t tell if an injury is going to take one week or three weeks to recover from, maybe they aren’t good at their jobs.

well that frees up 1 slot. Must really be sick if they are going to go at least a week without him.

Could they "send" Kulich down to Rochester to free up another slot, or has he played too many NHL games now? I think it's 160, and he's only at 75..so I'd assume they could do a paper transaction to swap a guy?

  • LGR4GM changed the title to Zucker to IR and Kulich likely out against Utah

Technically he is waivers exempt but the injury status may play into that somehow.

And there is no such thing as paper swaps anymore.  Anyone sent down to the AHL now must actually report to the AHL team.

Apparently they weren't going to the let the Bills injury woes upstage them and said "hold my beer"!

Seriously.  Tired of hearing <Buffalo Sports team Player> injured.

Can't send injured/ ill guys to the minors.  Need to be healthy to be demoted.

But is that change actually in place yet?  I feel like we've never seen any clear stories on what pieces of the new deal went into place right away and which wait until next year.

I think they'd be better off sending Geertson to the minors permanently, and bringing up literally anyone else.

Agree he is a waste of a roster spot, but there’s no one left to bring up.

The Sabres already have Rosen, Östlund, and Dunne. That also assumes Kozak is a full time NHLer. There’s nothing left in Rochester other than kids who aren’t ready (Helenius 19 years old & Wahlberg 20 years old) or AHL vets with no NHL viability. It’s bare.

If Geertson was currently in Rochester, he would be the next in line.

I had it. It ***** sucks. I couldn’t walk for almost 2 weeks. I lost some hearing from it, as well.

Yeah I mean there are about a half dozen Amerks on the Sabres currently.  So I wouldn’t paint the picture that the Sabres don’t have any prospects or minor leaguers that can help out. They already are. Helenius is the obvious choice if they need to call any one else up.  Unless somebody is excited for Jagger Joshua szn.  Love the dude but he’s barely talented epnough for the AHL, and really only has a roster spot due to the other things he brings, mainly his fists.

I’d be fine with Jagger Joshua taking up 3 minutes of ice time. They might as well just dress 11 forwards with that little ice time.
