I could use that 5k, if he wants to shred a helmet with the #26 on it I’ll go out and buy 5, 10, 20, and toss 1 to him every game he’s in the penalty box at 5k a helmet. Bettman doesn’t need the cash, I do 🤪

As a Sabre fan I'm not criticizing any player for being feisty and passionate. When Marchand acts out it is not an act. It's who he is as a player and why he is a winner. Benson is a tamer version of Marchand. And that is a tribute to Benson.

They didn’t see him do it. They saw the end result but if they don’t actually see him doing it they can’t assume. 
 

I hope he had to kick in the extra $10 or so for the replacement pieces. 😁

lol, roughly equivalent to 1/3 of one day's pay as he makes 14,423 a day if you break it down into a full year.  So I'm sure that'll change his behavior. 

NHL fines are a joke. It was funny to see him meltdown. I personally find these things entertaining. We need more of these guys in the league not less. Come on Benson, you can be the next one.

What are you talking about?  He was never charged.  The Civil Suit was full of holes and the parents lawyer was a crook.  I'm not even sure if the Civil Suit ever went anywhere.  Not to mention this was something like 40 years ago.

Brian "Spinner" Spencer had a tragic life and a tragic early death.   

He was a hard working, two-way forward, and a grinder.   He could really get the crowd going with his reckless style, he literally "spun" around out there on just about every shift, like a battling top.
