Benson's work creates a lot of puck luck.  Granted, he had nothing to do with the ultimate puck luck on Quinn's first goal, but his determination and stick-to-itiveness generated a lot of luck for the team tonight.

Great team win. Seemed to me that Ottawa was expecting an easy win and was shell shocked on what was happening. Just think, this game probably single handedly saved Adams job.

Maybe. But we need more time to evaluate the trade. 

Let's see Kesserling Play about 10 games first... And then think if we would want to undo that trade and have JJP but not  Kesserling and Doan.

Rather have Kesselring and Doan. Physical, character guys with good skill. Helps change a toxic culture. JJ has skill but wasn’t a culture guy.

Outside of Zach Benson and to a lesser extent Jason Zucker and maybe Ryan McLeod, we haven’t had forwards that play the game in the manner in which it’s supposed to be played. Engaged, aware, involved.  
 

We’ve had a litany of danglers, snipers and perimeter players that don’t have the  chutzpah to play that way.  It stems from drafting/acquiring only high end skill with no regard to players having moxie.

@LGR4GM has been leading the charge that Dylan isn’t good at hockey.  Fans still try to lump Cozens in with Sam and Jack as good players the Sabres shipped out.  He ain’t them.

I'm falling behind @LGR4GM on my Dylan Cozens bashing?  I guess I'm going to have to up my game a little bit.

I'll throw another one out there...+/- is not a perfect stat, but it does indicate you are on the ice for more goals allowed than scored so it means something...

During Dylan Cozens Time in Buffalo there have been double-digit positive forwards, like Alex Tuch and others.

But Cozens was a negative player every single year in Buffalo. He was a negative player in his time in Ottawa last year. He was a negative player for them in the playoffs. He's a negative player this year by quite a bit. 

Basically he has never been anything but a negative player in any full season, partial season, season with a new team, playoff round... Ever... All the while he has teammates that were positive by quite a bit
