The only real change that they'd need to do to work that is bump Krebs off PP2 (PP3?) and put Wahlberg there.  Follow up with either the Krebs line or the Kozak line and the Russians and no issues with lines getting juggled.

And it's not like Krebs is going to get a legit look at the PP early in the season anyhow unless they have a lot of injuries.

Johnson and Rosén are the conspicuous ones missing. But... both had good showings in the scrimmage, so they're getting an extra look with the top squad next game, perhaps.

It's a pretty predictable lineup.

You're going to see the required number of NHLers and half the fringe guys in each of the early exhibitions, with the bigger name NHLers in the home games.

I agree they should move on from them as neither looks like an NHL regular.  I’m just leery how the Sabres would accomplish it. I guess just pick the dumbest most senseless way and that’s what this team will do.

For what it's worth, I thought that when Johnson played a bunch of games with the Sabres a couple of seasons ago, he looked pretty decent, especially for young, inexperienced player.  I have not watched him play in Rochester, nor do I have any insight on training camp, but from what I saw, he looked like a player with a promising future.  

From the handful of games Rosen has played in Buffalo in the last couple of seasons, he's shown nothing.  He's been good at the AHL level, but he may be one of those guys that is simply not destined for a NHL career.  I'd love to see him break out this season, but I haven't seen anything yet that would indicate future success at the NHL level.

I often wonder why in the preseason coaches don’t agree on how many vets to play in a game. What good is it to ice an NHL roster vs a team of mainly AHL players.

I kind of feel bad that I don't care. Usually, I'll try to watch most of the preseason. I just don't have that same energy this year. They haven't fully broken me yet. Not enough changes to the failing roster of last year to give me hope for major improvements. Debbie Downer rant over. Enjoy the game for those who are watching!

I have to disagree. The color guy is constantly talking during the play by play. That's a serious NO NO in Hockey Broadcasting 101. I realize it preseason, but its super annoying regardless.
