That Aud Smell
Is that the Amerks playoffs I see crashing to the earth? I have to think that JBOTS has that issue in the forefront of his mind -- he's said as much (that he wants Amerk success), hasn't he? Amerks are now down Baptiste, Smith, Criscuolo, O’Regan and Griffith. 5 of their top 6 forwards and Botterill made no moves to help Rochester by the AHL’s trade deadline on Monday. True, but: Danforth and Muzita-Bagenda can play and contribute. They already had too many d-men; and they have Stephens, Martin, & Florentino in Cinci. Paetsch is back in the line-up and considered a very good AHL d-man. I don't know status on CJ but I would expect him to return to the Amerks. Justin Bailey, and even Nylander, are playing better. I don't think that it's all doom and gloom. But, yeah, it would be helpful, understatement, if Guhle, Nelson, Baptiste, O'Regan, Criscuolo, & Griffith returned. Not sure what they have to do with anything, they aren’t hurting on defense. They’re hurting at forward, where they maybe have 2 legitimate too 6 forwards. It’s pretty ugly. Doohickie
In this situation I'm okay with it, as long as he either 1) is up for a short stint and returns to play with Rochester this weekend, or 2) demonstrates that he's more than ready for the NHL. I would prefer option 1 if possible.

I mentioned the defense because Guhle and Nelson are in Buffalo. They were getting big minutes and playing well in Rochester. Some say that the Amerks tailspin began when Nelson got called up. Rasmus_
Hopefully he gets a chance to play even if briefly. He showed what he brings in Rochester. They'll (Guhle, Baptiste, O'Regan) be sent down prior to the playoffs.
Brawndo
O'Regan not likely playing tonight. Yep Per Vogl Danny O’Regan is still on the ice with defense scratches Josh Gorges and Justin Falk, so doesn’t look good for his Sabres debut tonight. Sabres Fan in NS
He's gonna bury one In the back yard? +++++ Is there not any other American more worthy of a call up? GASabresIUFAN
With all these forwards in Buffalo, it’s time for Fasching, Bailey and Nylander to step up and contribute. Why call up a player at this point and not play him? We know what the regulars can (or really can’t) do. Why not play the kid and see what happens. dudacek
They need a spare forward in case someone suddenly gets sick. Although, I think it might be more fun to watch Gorges fill the hole.

Winston
I'd like to see O'Regan paired with O'Reilly on St. Patricks Day vs CHI  I wonder if there has ever been an NHL line with three O's. O'Regan-O'Reilly-Okposo would be cool. But keep ROR with Samson, please.
