Why are people concerned about Tkachuk?

Is it the lack of goals this year (three less than Casey)?

Or just the fact that he’s a winger and the other two wingers have more skill?

He’s a bit bigger and faster than his brother, and just as much of a dick.

Looked good at the WJCs and fills a need for this team.

Mostly a case of people seeing him as a good pick from 5-8, but not 1-4?

Tkachuk is definitely good enough to be a top 5 pick. I see the same concern around here you do, but I won’t count myself in that group.

He's a terrible pick at 1 and at 2. 3-6 seems fine.

1) Dahlin

2) Zadina

3) ... Unsure right now. Svechnikov's lack of desire to play defense worries me on a team already with that problem. I want someone who works hard not someone who coasts by on their talent.

Don't worry, he'll be gone when the Sabres draft 4th.

At 4, I'm drafting Tkachuk, Wahlstrom, or Bouchard.  I want to be miles away from Boqvist and Hughes.

I need to see a few draft reports first but I am basically there. Hughes is currently over Boqvist. Boqvist is a lot of potential but we can't afford to gamble on potential.

Jbot needs to draft a guy at 4 who he "knows" will be an NHL player by 2019-20. it could take Hughes and Boqvist 2-3 years before they make the NHL.

Oh by the Wahlstrom has 44 pts to Jack Hughes 53 for the USNTP.  Where did you come up with the 82 pts you mentioned earlier?

I feel confident that Evan Bouchard will be an NHL player in 2019. At the very least he will jump to the AHL for a few months. He's so solid in every aspect of this game.

What might keep Boqvist ahead of Hughes in my final is that he is so young. Hughes is almost a full year older. They are exactly 10 months apart.

1-3 is very likely to be Dahlin, Svech, Zadina. Tkachuk is likely to be 4 with Boqvist at 5.  that leaves 6 and 7.  Your options are Bouchard, Hughes, or Wahlstrom.

Note this is not my rankings. This is projection for how the draft could actually happen. My draft will look different.

++We've analyzed their attack, sir, and there is a danger they win out. Should we set our draft board for as low as the seventh pick?

--Seventh pick? In our moment of triumph? I think you overestimate their chances.

You are talking Carrion League right?  No way they beat Nashville...  2 more losses pretty much seals the deal... just saying.  3 losses guarantees at least 4th pick.
