LGR4GM
Murray's first draft was 2014 which means not until 2017 should we expect the guys from the 2nd round or later to really have much impact. We won't know for another couple years if Murray can draft well.

TrueBlueGED
I'm not sure I've ever been so excited about a 3rd round pick. Really night have knocked this one out of the park.

TrueBlueGED
Does this mean Nylander should be with the big club next year? I expect him to be. Even if he doesn't start the year there, I think he's a full timer by the end.
Crusader1969
How far away is he from the NHL? 3 years? If you put up close to 2 points a game in OHL and you aren't an overager, there is a good chance you are in NHL the following year. Though typically guys who put up those kind of points are high draft picks.
Doohickie
We drafted him ahead of that production though. Lucky us.

Damned impressive considering the relative level of competition in the OHL.
French Collection
With Dvorak and Marner graduating, he's getting the minutes and responding. I remember hearing that he scored 8 post season goals, so he finished strong and has taken the next step.

LGR4GM
He projects as a #1 RW. Could be a center but depends on the Sabres once he is in the system.

Winston
Ha, it was a pun. Glad it went over well :) In all seriousness though, I think his tremendous play warrants conversation about his longterm position. He is and will continue to play center in London, right? But is his longterm fit on the right side? I haven't had the chance to see anything other than scattered highlights, so I don't know his fit. GASabresIUFAN
I'm not sure why people are so surprised by Pu's success. He really blossomed last year in the playoffs. We discussed this previously in the prospects thread. The skill was always there he was just stuck on a London roster with Jr superstars including Marner, Dvorack, Tkachuk, Jones and some older vets. Now that all are gone except Jones, Pu is the No.1 pivot and building on his playoff success. This was a great pick by GMTM and I'm looking forward to his continued growth.
