Hoss
Is Neuvirth really injured or is there a trade in the works? I haven't seen anything about him being injured. Why do you ask?

shrader
Any chance we can get an update to the thread title? This one threw me for a loop at first because I missed the original date.
Brawndo
That cannot be good for him. Yeah he is a RFA this year as well. Hopefully gets better and can decide what to do on his own terms Any chance we can get an update to the thread title? This one threw me for a loop at first because I missed the original date. My bad, I figured there was already a thread on him so rather then start another one I placed the new info here. No problem, just wanted to throw the request out there. Chz is usually good with these kind of things.
Derrico
So is Lieuwen called up or seriously injured?
Iron Crotch
So is Lieuwen called up or seriously injured? I thought the former based on the threat title, but now I see that it's the latter (serious concussion issues).
inkman
Would explain why he's been so terrible
BuffaloBorn
He has always had concussions problems. He was a part of a rolling crash early in his career, history of concussion problems
qwksndmonster
He has always had concussions problems. Doohickie
Any chance we can get an update to the thread title? This one threw me for a loop at first because I missed the original date. Just as confusing with the new title if you click on the link and start reading from the top. Totally sucks. Guy will probably spend the rest of his life wondering. Fixed it for him. Andrew Amerk
Ominous quote in d&c back in Dec: That's because the saves have been so much more difficult for him to make, for whatever reason. Of goalies that have played at least 10 games this season, Lieuwen ranks 47th in the AHL in save percentage (.883). He is 43rd in GAA (3.29). Eleven
So on the pre-game show last night, someone (Hamsammich?) was explaining that Lieuwen has been playing with blurred vision all season and concealing that fact from everyone. He's gotta just hang 'em up, IMO.

He's gotta just hang 'em up, IMO. Jeez, that's bad. I don't pretend to know what all tests they take at camp, but hard to imagine he's been dealing with this for months (closer to a year if they expect it's from the April concussion) and no one knew. Gotta admire the tenacity and desire to play, but sounds like his career might be over before it ever really started.
Weave
Gotta feel bad for the guy. Along the lines of Joe Mesi, dreams dashed just as you are at the cusp of what you'd spent most of your entire life working towards. Missed your big payoff by *this* much. shrader
Nevermind hockey, what about all the other things he's been doing lately with blurred vision, like say driving? I realize you are worried about getting pulled off the ice, but this was a seriously stupid decision on his part.
