Great hire for the team! Yes likely to offset Adam Mair but Jarkko is a great hockey guy. He was an absolute rat to play against!

I think its just a matter of time until KA is POHO and then Jarmo is the GM and Lindy is moved up to be an assistant GM or advisor, then *SHUDDER* Appert takes over as coach

 

Not gonna lie I wouldnt hate Leonne taking over as coach, everything I hear from him is excellent

Umm, do they perhaps know something about Adam Mair's status that hasn't been made public yet?  That's one possibility.

I've been saying and I'll continue to say, I think Adams is moving to an advisory role and Kekalainen is at basically a internship with Pegula for GM. Adams and Terry cooked up this tryout idea. 

Adams rides out the season and Kekalainen takes over in May 2026.

Anything to get KA out of the GM chair. But Appert as coach would be head-desk

Interesting fact on Jarkko Ruutu is that he had absolutely fantastic grades from school. Something that might be hard to believe while remembering the way he was playing hockey.

I can see this happening too (especially if this team fails again this year) but if Jarmo is made GM would he hire Appert as coach? If he did, that would mean he's just another Pegula puppet. Otherwise I'd expect him to work with his own people and a clean slate of all new coaches. That is the only thing that would give me hope for change. 

A new development guy is a good idea. It's been a weakness.

Jarmo passed on PoolParty to take Dubois which was the right call. I wouldn’t be worried about them just taking Finn’s.
