If UPL can sustain this, we have ourselves a goaltender. If only we could upgrade Skinner to anyone else that can finish, that would help immesnley.

I’ll tell you what.. if this team plays like they did tonight on a regular basis???  They won’t be hitting posts and crossbars for long.  I expect a winning streak incoming.  That’s right I said it!

UPL has given them every chance to win the last two games with his play.

Good for him.

Absolutely. He makes not just routine saves, but actually makes some really clutch saves to keep us in the past two games. Ten times better than Dell, Tokarski.

UPL 90 saves on 96 shots in three games.  This is what the Sabres need.  He made Hasek type saves tonight.

I said this last game and I think it needs repeating …

He’s a developing prospect. He’s gonna suuuuuuck some games. He’s gonna look decent some games. He’s gonna look really good some games. Glad he’s looking good lately.

“He’s never going to amount to anything”

Is looking more and more like a bunch of ignorant bullshiiiiiii

IMHO

keep it up Ukko!

It has resulted in really boring hockey.   Not what the hockey minds at the NHL  HQ want.   Wonder if this will be up for a change next off season?

I may be an old fart, but I would prefer they just go way back to the good ol' days where a tie was a tie and the game was over in regulation.  No OT, stupid 3-on-3 or shootouts.

Why no mention of Ted Nolan or his son Jordan in the tributes to Native Americans by the Sabres?

Because the night was paid for by the Seneca nation and their casinos. I don’t believe Ted works for them.

(wow. Even for me that sounded too cynical.)

Those ties stunk too.  I went to many games where teams would play for the tie.  If they go back to that format award no points.  That will motivate the players and coaches to win.

I never understand what you're saying.  It's as if you think we're all in on the inside jokes inside your head and we're not.

It was set up earlier. You need to pay closer attention.

I guess you'll never know why inkman was on ganni's lap.

They need a rule change like once you get the puck over the blue line you can’t bring it back out until after a shot on goal, otherwise it’s a face off in your end.

Ummm, well, I guess I watch different games. Now I was entertained with a close even game, but that was a very depleted Caps line up and we played about the same as a lot of other games this year where better (or less depleted) teams beat us. I really didn't see a whole lot of difference.

The Cozens line, as is becoming the case every night, was once again our best line. Cozens is our best player right now bar none, and I think he's just going to keep getting better. The line works, but it could be even better if Murray would play a little less passive and more assertive. I'm hoping the coaches get him to eventually do that.

UPL is showing the promise we hoped he would but I'd still prefer him in Rochester this year. This season is a wright off, let the kid develop. Send him back down as soon as we can.

Signs of promise, usual issues, but again, this one was entertaining.

What makes you say that the Caps lineup was depleted?

If he continues to play well up here, why a need to send him down?  If he struggles or is too inconsistent, yes , back to Rochester.
