Cozens is the most promising.  The rest are a notch or two down.  .

Cozens is the 2C. Trouble is it wont' be until next year at the earliest, but he is the real deal.

In the immediate I see no realistic fix. I can't see many teams being overly interested in our marginal available players for anything of value in return. A marginal D man (like Bogo) for a marginal winger maybe, more likely we can only unload a few bodies at or near deadline for a few mid to lower picks and/or prospects. Maybe Boston takes  a shot at Vesey for a depth forward as they are always trying for a winger to play with Krejci and have little cap room so they might take a chance with a 3rd rounder or something. Nothing big and nothing that'd help us now.

Risto and Reinhart are the only bodies that might generate any sort of immediate interesting return, but even that is unlikely to get us the value that'd help us. It'd just be shuffling and might even make us worse.Unfortunately I do think we are looking for a wait until next year scenario.

Wondering: are the games from the UK league streamed online and available in North America?

Some games are available to pay to stream via clubs own websites. Some are televised on our domestic Freesports channel. Clan don't stream home games though, chairman doesn't think it's a good business model.

With Nashville struggling as well, do you try and swing a deal for Granlund and see if he can plug the 2c hole fore the rest of the year?

Possible. Can't stand this inaction from Botts. Or is he now thinking of getting a chance at lafrenierre, byfield or Raymond at the lottery

No he is thinking playoffs and is either to chicken to pay the price asked or there is nothing to acquire at this time.

The roster actually needs TWO second-line forwards in order to be playoff-competitive. Everything else seems okay to me on paper:

Olofsson - Eichel - Reinhart

Skinner - ??? - ???

Girgensons - Larsson - Okposo

Johansson - Asplund - Thompson

Ullmark

Hutton

Jokiharju - Dahlin

Ristolainen - Scandella

Montour - Miller

The best we can hope for are probably 2C and 2W rentals while praying Cozens and Mittlestadt are ready next year.

I would trade away McCabe, Bogosian, Sobotka, Rodrigues, Sheary, and Vesey for 3D/4F players with that ever-elusive "grit" which has been missing from this roster at least since the Twin Tank Years began.

This was never going to be 'the' season.

The team is set up to be in line for a huge make over this coming offseason with all the contracts coming off the books.  This was the RaKru coming out party and he has shown that he can take a rag-tag outfit and have them play reasonable well at times.

The Sabres will contend for the playoffs next season and the real push is the season following that.

How many seasons have been labeled “next season”?

Same comments every year...it's always next year when they plan on winning
