Glad to see he's OK and that his family didn't have to experience a bad event. Great guy.

Sabres Fan in NS
Scary stuff. Glad he is OK. He is a good guy by all accounts.
Weave
John Scott is a fisherman. Another reason I like the guy. Fear of going through the ice is why I don’t fish the hard water.
sabills
Since this Scott topic is already up, here's a podcast all about John Scott going to the All-Star game:https://www.wnycstudios.org/story/radiolab-punchline

I'm still about halfway through. I'm right at when he got traded to Montreal and dropped to the AHL because they didn't want him in the game, which I had basically forgot about. Heard the same about him too. Used to work with a guy who lived next to John's parents. Never heard anything bad about him, seems to have a good sense of humor about himself and knew he serves a dying role in the NHL.

Jacque Richard
A Buddy of mine fell thru as kids too in a pond. We were going to shovel the ice to skate. Lucky all of us were there to help. We always remembered that day over a beer now that we’re old.
BMWR100RT
Thanks for sharing that RadioLabs. I don't know why, maybe because I was just an average athlete that had to work twice as hard, but I got just as teared up as when I watched it actually happen. Maybe because of his and his wife's narration. Fantastic stuff.
