Eleven Posted April 12, 2017 Report Share Posted April 12, 2017 On the prospects: Nylander needs a big summer; his issue is strength, which is easy to fix. Baptiste has played well. Bailey was up and down. Needs consistency and he needs to figure out his role and we need to help him do that. Nelson played well as an NHLer and then got injured. Transition puck moving defenseman. Whether he's ready next year is up to him. Guhle has a great chance to be here next year. He's what we need. (Try telling that to Bylsma!) Ullmark is tremendous. Trajectory is good. He's on the right track that many goalies have taken. Austin was a major surprise and handled himself well; not ready for a full-time job but he put himself on the map. I'm actually ok with that. His job is to win however he sees best, not listen to the fans' every whim. This is the exact reason GM's should not be making decisions about how the game is played, because they only care about their team's wins, not about the "product" on the ice. LGR4GM Posted April 12, 2017 Report Share Posted April 12, 2017 Plans to start talking to jack on July 1. Jack wants to be a leader and take more of a leadership role, no talk about captain. He talked to jack of coaches and systems (talked to all the players about same thing). Jack was frustrated about not being in the playoffs.
