Claude_Verret
As fortune has it, I'm in Toronto for an overnight family trip. After the kids are in bed, I'll put my pillaging skills to use on Yonge street to avenge the name of our fair city.
Iron Crotch
...I just keep thinking about how, for 17 years, we had to listen to Darcy drone about about how hard trades are to make in the NHL. Murray on the other hand gets a call from the Habs who ask if he wants Gorges. Murray says "sure," ships them a 2nd, and the whole thing is done (presumably) in a matter of an hour or two. :D
Doohickie
All that BS about "setting the market" or whatever now translates to me as Darcy saying, "I have no idea what my players are worth, so I have to have other GMs tell me." LGR4GM
You know Buffalo may be the armpit of America but at least our Mayor isn't smoking crack and smacking hoes, so suck it Toronto.

Hoss
Surprised it wasn't mentioned here, but a Toronto journalist (not sure of her name) told Gorges, in an article, to "go to hell" and that going to Buffalo was as close as he'll get to it. ###### that stuck up franchise. Hoss
Yeah...professionalism a little bit When I heard it I thought "must've been a near accidental comment on the radio" but it was written and published in an actual article. What a joke.

IKnowPhysics
...and folks think the Buffalo media is bad. WOW! Think of Bucky and Mike Harrington. Then imagine fifteen Buckys and Mike Harringtons, all writing through their anuses, competing with each other for readership. More than a few of them are going to vie for Press Czar of Turdistan.
