Hockey News article about some teams that might be looking for D

Miller (50%) & Stafford

7.5 mil about in caphit

to St. Louis for

Halak, Oshie, and Berglund

11 mil in caphit

Later if we want to we can deal Vanek somewhere and get a 1st rounder, a LW, and some prospects and/or a couple of the extra D-men like Ruhwedel and McBain to Colorado and Edmonton for 2nd rounders or something around there.

Why would St. Louis do this? MAYBE one of Berglund/Oshie but we're not getting both.

Also, McBain had to be paired with a 2nd rounder to acquire a player worth a second rounder. He nets maybe a 4th rounder.

I would be thrilled to start the year with that first line, much better than I am expecting right now, but the second line? Ugh! I am sure I am in a vast minority but I would prefer to keep Stafford on the second line rather than Foligno. Other than that, it looks like a lineup that will continue to be pushed around by the bull centers in the league.

A few changes, Armia is 2nd line RW, no Grabovski but rather Morrow. In this case I may be actively shopping Ennis for a bigger LW.

Guys, if you're using any sort of "normal" lineup, Grigorenko has no business on the 3rd line. For him, it's second line center or wing, or bust.

I certainly would not put on the 2nd line right off the bat, I'd start him on the 3rd line and get him to earn to the 2nd line C job. He certainly didn't prove much last year.

Well these 4 last pages of fantasy between sabres - oilers - blues just turned to ######.

Oilers and blues seem to have made their own deal, and thank god.

We shouldn't sell Vanek or Miller for this kind of ######. Perron for Paarjavi + 2nd 2014. I think Blues got robbed.

The Oilers top prospect and a 2nd pick for a second line winger? That's a good deal. Vanek should be worth that and a little more.

Teams can't negotiate to players that are not their's prior to trades. The NHL doesn't allow it.

Essentially, you're trading Miller, Ennis (or Stafford+Pysyk or McNabb) and two 2nds for Yakupov. Meh.
