  1. As someone who really hasn't paid attention here in a year or more. I recall reading this type of thread then. And the year before that. And the year before that. (And I recall reading this exact post by someone else who kind of faded away back then and back then and back then.) It's just the nature of message boards or whatever they call them now. Some people post just for reaction. Some people react to those posts. Some people post and get a reaction. Some people react to any post. To keep this relevant; the Bruins will always suck.
  2. The Sabres would have picked 4th twice if these rules were in place at the time. Dallas was only 1 goalie away from being in the playoffs. Would they trade the #3 for one? The draft ball magic continues to follow Taylor Hall: Taylor Hall‏ @hallsy09 Officially adding "NHL lottery ball specialist" to my hockey resume.
  3. Bottled in Bond Basic key parts of BIB are must be 100 proof and aged a minimum of 4 years. Many of them are just plain tasty and good values.
  4. Over 2 months and no whiskey talk? Boy, haven't missed much have I? Should I buy the Weller SR 1.75 for $48? Not really a great value pour anymore. BIB seems to be the way to go nowadays.
  5. The good old days of 2-3 years ago. :) I haven't bought the $30 750ml I've seen of the SR. But I know by next year I will regret it.
  6. The 12 year are my favorite of the 3 (then OWA followed by SR.) Of course BTAC Weller would be in another category I hope to enjoy someday. They've all become as rare as anything nowadays.
  7. The following season or 2 after Las Vegas when Quebec enters the league - how's everyone feeling about expansion then?
  8. Celebration dogs all around? Celebrating with my family in the family station wagon was a good moment in time.
  9. Hard to beat this 'hard rock' song from back in the old days of 1991:
  10. So you are only ever going to own old cars or performance cars. Stock up on that kitty litter for winter.
  11. Listened on the car radio in the parking lot as the Bills finally broke The Streak. That is funny. I heard about the study like a month or so ago. Of course the study was done longer ago than that. I haven't been in this thread for ages.
  12. Happiest song ever written as per Dutch cognitive neuroscientist Dr Jacob Jolij Don't Stop Me Now by Queen
  13. Finally got around to locating some Bernheim. I do enjoy it very much. Very mild and gentle. Soft and subtle are good terms for it. 51% soft winter wheat, 39% corn and 10% barley malt. I do love the wheated whiskeys; the wheaters. The Weller's & Larceny of course I would love to try more of those outliers. The high wheats, high oat, high triticale, If I ever won the lotto I would start up a distillery and play with all those weird grains. Make plenty of moonshine, vodka and gin so as not to lose my shirt as the whiskey ages.
  14. Let me take the other side. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Everyone duck! I see the kitchen sink flying.
  16. Every limbo boy and girl All around the limbo world Gonna do the limbo rock All around the limbo clock Jack be limbo, Jack be quick Jack go unda limbo stick All around the limbo clock Hey, let's do the limbo rock Limbo lower now Limbo lower now How low can you go? 17. Wowzers - Donald Trump trots out the Bill Clinton accusers pre-debate.
  18. Probably one of the most difficult affordable (for now) bourbons to find out there. I've only gotten my hands on 2 of the 12 releases. But it's like liquid manna from heaven.
  19. Drinking a few versions of Elijah Craig Barrel Proof. Gosh darn ain't they good.
  20. Where's that image that always pops up on this site about what Chz really looks like? Maybe Donald visits here.
  21. I'm guessing that Rex was upset at how little Greg Roman was running the ball.
  22. A chronic cough is better than a recent onset cough in terms of health concerns. Did anyone watch that silly NBC 'military' forum? 20 odd minutes each with Matt Lauer doing too much talking? Give them a full '90 minutes' prime time each (70 minutes) at least.
  23. If you are talking Canadian - Canadian Club 100% blows the Crown Royal away. If you want to try a wild Canadian rye then look for Alberta Rye Dark Batch Whisky. It actually includes 8% of Old Grand Dad bourbon and 1 % of actual sherry blended in. On the KY front - Rittenhouse Rye BIB is very popular for a very good reason. That 100 proof really gives the Rittenhouse spice an added boost. I was originally going to say that I still love Sazerac Rye (baby Saz) better. Not sure anymore comparing my open bottles. The Saz is fruitier but I'm picking up more of the corn now then when the bottle was new. Though their mashbills are pretty much the same (both of course are only 51% rye). You really can't go wrong with either for the price points. Good value with either.
  24. The 2016 BTAC info is out. Now if only I could ever find any of the actual product.
