This is what Rochester needs, courtesy of theahl.com's playoff primer:

Rochester clinches a playoff berth on Sunday with:

(a) a San Antonio regulation loss vs. Oklahoma City, OR

(b) a regulation decision in the Charlotte-Milwaukee game, OR

[c] a Houston loss (reg/OT/SO) or win by fewer than 9 goals vs. Texas

I know they can't officially call them in but come on...

I know, right? Houston hasn't scored more than 7 goals in a game this year. If they managed to win by more than 9 tonight Rochester should demand an investigation of the Texas franchise.

Yup! I thought they were in anyways, as Houston couldn't match them in Wins even with a victory today, but this pretty much settles it. YEEE HAWWWW! :w00t:

Win total is irrelevant - the first tiebreaker is Regulation/OT wins, and with a W today Houston and Rochester both would have had 30 regulation/OT wins. Next tiebreaker is points in the season series, and they played twice with the teams splitting regulation wins, so the next tiebreaker is goal differential. That's where the nine-goal differential tiebreaker came in.

No prob. It was a tight Western Conference playoff race right till the end - spots 5-10 were all in the hunt up until the second-to-last day of the season, and on the final day five teams were vying for three spots.

I think I could make that Monday game if all the pieces fall into place.
